Penny-pincher - shocking amount of food! Did you get it on offer though? Lot of pre-prepared stuff too!
Florenceem - hope you're not as clumsy as me, I've smashed so many things since having ceramic floor tiles I thought I'd go for lino next time
Lip_stick, expect to see pics of finished room from you too, as per Flo pics
MNR - what is it with older people and ringing early, I get really narked with that!
I like the look of some of the veggie recipes on that meal planner, JB, but not used it before.
Workmen in here yesterday so I didn't really cook (I seem to be forever cleaning the kitchen each time the builders come in to do the next bit of work  ) so yesterday just used up the rest of the hm tabbouleh from the day before. Griddled some haloumi and asparagus to go with it.
Today:
Breakfast - toast and marmite
Lunch - cheese omelette, salad and lentil crisps
Dinner - ramiro pepper and asparagus risotto.
Finished up the risotto rice and vegan stock tonight - already replaced the stock as I use it quite a lot. Will use up the paella rice in risotto before I buy any more risotto rice as I don't really cook paella and it's well past it's best before date so needs using up. Feels good to be using up the dried goods quicker now I'm doing more cooking. Tidied the cupboard a bit more, it's looking good
Placed my weekly food order, minimal order this week, just some dairy, salad and bananas - literally just what I will need for the week to add to things I have. Rough meal plan worked out for next week. Will get more asparagus and herbs (mint, chives, oregano, rosemary) from the allotment to add in.0 -

Just wondered if it was any good or not.:)
I just tried it for 2 persons over 7days but it gave me recipes with items I put on the bad list, and the lunches were not practical for eating out of tubs cold etc... plus too many smoothies which I don't like and recipes for 8 people..oh and 18 if I count the lamb samosas :mad:I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D

Morning all.
Busy day today. I've managed to rope my Mam into helping strip the large wall.
No plans for meals but thinking I'll do Moroccan pizza for lunch and have the luxury that is now corned beef hash for tea lol. May change the tea as ds is at beavers tomorrow and since that's quick, it'd be better to have then. Hmmmmm.
Welsh Poppy - You did well on the vouchers! What vouchers were those then?
Kirri - I've got three rooms on the go, and am thinking the hall will be finished first, then the lounge, and then the bathroom. Will show pics of the lounge once I get that sorted, as the hall is plain and boring lol. I've managed to convince my mam and dad to do some of the decorating (like glossing) when I'm away for the week! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

Morning all.
Yesterday was a busy one with mam, dad and me stripping the rest of the wallpaper, so that's all now done. I did Moroccan pizza from the freezer, with salad, for lunch for everyone yesterday and I had a fried egg sarnie for tea. Ds had chicken nuggets and spaghetti shapes for his tea.
I now have a smidgen of room in one of the drawers but need a lot more so I can do some batch cooking of mince I've got.
Tea tonight, I was going to have it out, but going to come home and do home made lamb meatballs I've got in the freezer, with pasta and sauce.
I've realised, ds only eats tea at home a maximum of 3 times a week. Don't know why I need all this food stash then lol. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0
