Afternoon all.
Took Brother shopping and he spends far too much for a single person!!
Think I'll show him this thread. lol
NSD for me so far, but was tempted with the BOGOF tea-cakes in Sainsbury's - another day.
Just having soup today and snacking, but should be using freezer stuff.
Not sure if I'm happy or sad for having almost two full freezers!! Spends could have and should have been far less if I wasn't a "stasher" ....................... and that's NOT me in that program!!
Wrapping stuff today and should be almost sorted by tonight. Hopefully I haven't missed anything.

Hi everyone.
For breakfast, it was egg on toast
Lunch was (I couldn't be bothered with anything else)
Tea is to be determined as I'm really not in the mood for cooking. I may just have leftover peas, again or salad.
Pretty quiet day here. I may venture to Poundland tomorrow to look for my bf's stocking stuffers.~Steph~0 -

and your challenge for next year is to eat out of the freezersTwo full freezers is quite a lot! You'd be having a cold sweat seeing what's in mine!!! There is now no shop bought food at all, just a lot of beans, soup and fruit... even I'm feeling a bit
Toast and marmite for breakfast, banana for lunch. Run out of fruit again so need to go to the dreaded supermarket tomorrow.
Used up the Quorn mince today and made it into bolognaise with carrots, celery and onion that needing using up. Also chucked in a bag of borlotti from the allotment to bulk it out. Used up a tin of toms out the cupboard. Should make a week's worth of dinners, may turn a portion or two into cottage pie as I have a lot of allotment potatoes still.
Not sure what else I will be eating apart from that, but something along the lines of bean burgers, bean risotto, bean fritters, dahl... may buy a few bits to liven up meals inbetween all that.0 -
Correction, I made pasta with sun dried tomato cream sauce using pantry spaghetti, soft cheese, sun dried tomatoes (pantry), passata (leftover in the fridge), Italian seasoning, and garlic. It was delish!~Steph~0

AmericanInScotland, I read previously that others on this thread suggested to you where to buy American food. I am not sure if Ocado was mentioned, if not here is the link http://www.ocado.com/webshop/getSearchProducts.do?clearTabs=yes&isFreshSearch=true&entry=americanNo toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
Morning all, mild here ................ but raining a little.and your challenge for next year is to eat out of the freezers
Used up the Quorn mince today and made it into bolognaise
I think I need you as my "mentor", but you are right.
I love the Quorn mince in spag bol.
I just can't meal plan though!! Much easier to buy than to use, sadly.
I honestly and mean honestly, thought the budget would clear everything and I would struggle .................... but it's been a cinch as coupons and "whoopsies" haven't dried up.
Only spent £1.16 yesterday on Morries half-price cream scones and reduced choc brownies from Sainsbury's. Trying to keep spends down until the weekend when Son comes home!! £1 bags of salad/spinach probably.
I'm not 100% today and hubby has been "iffy", so Wetherspoons is a miss. Took out some sausages and will do sausages in gravy, mash and veg today.
Coffee and toast for breakfast, cake and brownies for lunch.
Dropping off foodbank stuff later - last one for the year.
This time next week ................................ is next Tuesday. lol

Today i have taken out, 2 packets of philly and a packet of wraps.I'll be putting in 2 dinner portions of chicken ham and leek pie filling and 2 portions of carrot and parnsip mash, chicken was ood and carrots and parsnips were looking very sad. All of this was made with whoospies except the philly which i bought to bump up my shopping for a till spit :TDEC GC £463.67/£450

Thank you, Becky 2, and everyone else for their kind suggestions!
I discovered late last night that there was fraudulent activity on my bank account, and someone using payday loans had taken out £111! That's a TON when you're a strapped student! I called the bank this am, and they are investigating it. Luckily, they almost immediately put the money back in my account, but my debit card was cancelled. I popped into my bank to get a bit of cash to last me for awhile.
So, then I went out on the hunt for a few specific things for my boyfriend's upcoming visit (6 days) including stocking stuffers and foods we'll eat using other staples in my cupboard and freezer.
With the limited cash I took out, it REALLY limits my spending!
Poundland: Spent £5 on stocking presents for bf and toothpaste
Went to Lidl and got a few things:
Pork Chops (I've been on the look out for sales for awhile with no luck): 2.99
Camembert wheel (for a baked cheese meal for bf and I): 1.35
Green Beans: 89p
Eggs (10): .89
Choc creams: .54
I also popped into Tesco Metro to look for reductions, but didn't find anything worth using my pounds on. I did pick up:
Soy Longlife Milk: .59 (for my morning cereal)
A packet of crisps: .69 (for bf's stocking)
and a packet of dumpling mix (for stew when bf visits): .55
Breakfast was cereal and a banana
Lunch was an egg sandwich
Tea is hm oven chips~Steph~0
