Hi everyone, i'm in my new house :)

I've managed to fill up that other freezer tho, to be fair it was all frozen veg (£2.50 off a £10 frozen food spend in the price drop book) and reduced bread we're pretty much set for the week now, next week will prob just be milk, fruit and yogurts aswell.

Had lunch at the inlaws today and cheese, ham and coleslaw sandwichs for dinner, using half price cheese (also using a £1 off £4 tesco voucher) and ham (using a £1 off £3 tesco voucher) and reduced coleslaw and bread, so very frugal sandwichs :p

    Evening all.

Had a nice meal out today, well my meal was nice, think the others weren't as impressed with theirs lol. I had pork escalope. Was nice and crispy and the meat tender.

Visited Asda and bought some 10p salad leaves and a couple of bunches of flowers. Gave my mum one, although don't think she was quite so impressed when she saw the 20p yellow sticker.

Haven't bothered with tea tonight as feeling full from a citrus tart we had at mam's.

Bought some raw frozen king prawns at Tesco which were half price plus I had a voucher for 65p so got them good value. Found half a bag in the freezer which I didn't know about, tonight.

Forgot to say 'ello to the newbies, was in a rush this morning.

katskorner will suggest the Heston thing to mum, sure that'll go down well lol

quintwins - congrats on the move. Glad you're finally in there now, or still got a lot?

gailey, good to see you back, was thinking about you the other day wondering where you were.

  • quintwins - congratulations on the house move - hope you will be really happy there!!

Katskorner - just googled the Heston chicken and might give it a go - It seems a bit of a faff with the brine and all, but if its really nice it will be worth it. Must remember to get some salt for the brine - did you just use table salt?

I made roast pork for tea tonight but it was really chewy so I made up a lot of barbecue sauce with ketchup, soy sauce, barbecue spice, vinegar, mustard and honey and put the pork in it in a casserole and made it into pulled bbq pork and that was nice. Trouble is it wasn't done in time for tea so will have to have it tomorrow.

I have just made my first ever pitta breads using the recipe in Delia Smith's How to Cook part 3 - I made the dough in the breadmaker and they have turned out brilliantly (not that I'm boasting or anything;))! I made 12 large pittas for about 35p the lot so good value! They are just cooling so will do pittas for carry outs tomorrow morning.

Lip_stick - I would have taken the sticker off the flowers!!

I am going to go to Co-op tomorrow for the B1G2F cheese and also the B1G2F imperial Leather handwash, but shouldn't need to get anything else - mind you as I only have £15 until I get paid I won't be bale to get anything else!!

Mr F got HM quiche out of the freezer for Monday's dinner. Still didn't have room to put in a tub of crumble so had to take out HM cheese/onion pastie for Tuesday's dinner. Mr F reports - freezer - full!

I don't like milk - as is - so cereal with milk for breakfast is a no no for me. I do have milk in tea but only a small amount. We have fresh skimmed milk. In order to get my milk/calcium for the day - I have custard for breakfast! I either have it on HM crumble - therefore getting 1 of my 5 a day or on a HM muffin - well actually half a HM muffin.
This is the rhubarb crumble I made in a 99p shop ceramic dish - big dish - you can see how much we had for breakfast - MR F and I.

Our brekkie - yummy! This really sets us up for the day. We don't have pudding after our dinner as too full up.

Morning all, just reading this thread about what you all cook and all the lovely photos makes me hungry!! - always look absolutely gorgeous. I wouldn't be brave enough to post any pictures, not that I'm that bad a cook!! Today I have removed some chicken breasts out of the freezer for tomorrows tea, tonight we are going to have the remaining half of the quiche from yesterday, though my husband initially had cut it in half and dropped half onto each plate until I said "are you kidding me?" he looked a bit sheepish tbh, and said he had thought it looked a bit much (!!!).
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

Morning all. Monday morning school run for me in a few minutes. CBA with that!

Last night I got a couple of pork steaks out for tea, not sure what to serve them with. Also got the half bag of prawns out to have for dinner with my cheapo salad. Looking forward to having those.

Was hoping today would be a nsd but need to get milk for ds. It smelt a bit funny but wasn't sure if it was the lip of the bottle so I tried it. Cue me yacking over the kitchen sink for the next 5 minutes!

Jane, I didn't have time to take the YS off the flowers as mum was sat in the car and my hands were full lol.

Rhubard crumble and custard for brekkie, I like your thinking Flo!

AlwaysHappy lol @ half a quiche!

Well best get a shift on! Catch you all later.

    Morning.

Had the raisin bread toasted for breakfast and nice, but think the birds like it more!!
Veggie day today, so stuffed mushrooms with cheese later and just bits and bobs as out most of day.

    Catch up later.

Love the idea of rhubarb crumble and custard for breakfast - much healthier than most cereals I'm sure. I have to admit to having strawberry fresh cream cake for mine yesterday - well I figured it was better to have it as a meal rather than as an extra (had got a huge 14 ptn one for 50p on Saturday) Come to think of it there may be a slice left :D

Using a jar of sauce up which was part of a christmas pressy with chicken from the freezer and a tin of butter beans and one of toms tonight - should also make enough for another meal as it is supposed to make four portions, just need to keep OH away from it.

Well ended up in Fultons for my milk (not a shop that I'm a fan of). Bought milk, a ristorante pizza and a bag each of McCain spiced chips in Oriental flavour and Indian flavour. 2 bags for £1.50. Might try some of those tonight. Grand total spend of £3.85.

Hope you shared at least one piece of that cream cake out JayJay!
