Does anyone know where you can get Maggi cook in sauces and the "so juicy" sachets? They had them in Sainsburys but now don't, and Tesco only have a couple (garlic and herb and lemon) which I am not too keen on. When they had them in Sainsburys I got the red wine and shallot and the stir fry beef and they were both fabulous! Have even looked on Amazon!

Nice weather today here - really need to get some housework done![/QUOTE]

Saw the So Juicy in Asda last week, sorry didnt notice Maggi

According to The Grocer, Nestle launched the So Juicy range Feb 2001 with a £6m marketing spend - maybe it hasn't been so successful as they wanted and something new will be out soon, hence disappearance of stock ??

Back from Morries and bought my Nescafe!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also bought a pack of 6 large buns - on offer @ 50p (half price).

£9.50 spent and that's on a Monday.

    Totally shocked. :D

Bread is always on offer at Morries, every single day something is half price, I also noticed they had fresh loaves at 60p (half price).

Anyone needing drinking glasses?? Morries have them at 3 for £1 AND BOGOF - 6 glasses for £1 and a decent choice .......... don't mind breaking them at 17p per glass. :rotfl:

Also some glass dessert bowls at 4 for 97p BOGOF .............. 8 little dessert bowls for under £1.

Lots of wine glasses etc., also BOGOF.

Going to start the garden today, looks like it's catching as all neighbours must be thinking the same. lol

Just made another batch of minestrone and will freeze once cooled, just need to add bacon and pasta when re-heating - used up celery and carrots, well most.

    Catch up later.

went to morries today and spent a grand total of £5.70. Got three pizzas reduced, 2 packs birds eye rice fusions on offer (pilau with spinach nom), half price loaf ISB bread, corn on the cob holders (been searching for new ones for ages!) and three pots coleslaw. Not a bad lot for the money!

Tonight is freezer fodder and salad - kids getting cod fishcakes and chips and us plaice and salad.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

It had a huge amount of calories for what was mainly spices so wouldn't be surprised if that was the case!

The dessert bowls are really handy too, I got them ages ago though not on BOGOF but use them all the time as they are just the right size unlike the more expensive dinner service set I have!

Evening all, lovely day, bikini top weather at last! Sowed lots of seeds.

Got a Wright's mix today (no ciabatta in stock) tried the Oat and Linseed variety for 9p, got my free Mentos and some reduced veg all in Morries. Had a milkman delivery as well and got another free box of chocs :D

I've just spent an entire afternoon looking up peanut butter online. The result of this MSE dedication (addiction ?) is that I found the cheapest peanut butter, the cheapest places for foreign peanut butter, the cheapest organic peanut butter and the least carby peanut butter which turned out to be a 1.99 340g own brand Waitrose one.

I am now officially completely off peanut butter ! So far I've found the least carby ice cream, the least carby cheapest Quorn and the least carby and cheapest peanut butters..

Anyone have any suggestions for my next foray ??

Here's hoping that no cars have fallen to bits today..have you noticed the group dentistry probs followed by group car probs on this thread ?? Please everyone..avoid ladders !! :rotfl:
  • Good evening all,

It's ok to drive for now but will be re-visiting in the next few weeks to have the real money spender sorted
Pennies will now be even tighter, it's going to cost at least £250
