Had a phone call today to say I have won a 10ft trampoline & enclosure in a comp :j:j
It's being delivered the 1st week of april, dd will be over the moon, she's wanted one for ages which I just couldn't afford so I'm really happy for her... YAY ME!!! lol
Have a great time Lip_Stick, can't say I'm not jealous
Running low on toothpaste & tissues so popped into Tesco. Also got a new mascara, my last one was a winner from a Maybelline comp so haven't had to buy a new one for a while. Pleased to say the only grocery items I got were a (whoopsied) loaf of bread, which I've totally run out of & a whoopsied 32p rasberry jelly pot....getting control of my addiction me thinks :rotfl:
Breakfast was cereal and mini blueberry muffins :shhh::drool:. Lunch: lamb curry with rice, with the jelly for 'afters'Might have beans on toast later, if I'm hungry but am pretty full!

Not too bad a day and all went well'ish.
NSD so far as too busy to shop, but need bread and milk tomorrow definitely.
Tried to make bread and forgot to put the paddle in the breadmaker, had to open the lid a try to locate it and switched the machine off. Started again, but poor result and just cooking for the birds!!
Can't be bothered now to start over again.
Lip_Stick - your window cleaner might not have charged you for a wee glimpse!!
brighteyes1987 - excellent win, I might start comping soon, I would love just one decent win and then stop.....................6 numbers on lotto would do!!
Hope all not well, get well soon.

Propped up in bed sneezing with rabid sore throat. Croaked at OH you can have your rotten cold back and he said if I could I would..
I've done an Internet shop at Waitrose partially to feed my freezer eg 3 packs (total 6 legs) Gressingham duck legs £10, 2 x 300g Quorn pieces for £3, 3 x 500g British veal mince £10, 2 x 1LTR Kelly's Clotted cream ice cream £5
Also found that Waitrose has 250g President unsalted butter for 1.21 price matched to Tesco whereas it was 1.40 at Morrisons last Saturday.
Order was 79.99 less 14.38 savings = 65.15 and no delivery charge so did reasonably well. Just need veg top up and UHT skimmed milk from Lidl for OH, tinned dog food from Poundland/99p Stores for the dawg and a nose at the offers in Lidl Thurs.
Does Internet shopping count as an NSD as it doesn't get charged til Friday ?0 -
Edwardia - Morries only put the President butter up the other week, was £1.21 before, so good Waitrose have it that price still. Asda still had it for £1.21 though unless they've put it up since. Hope you feel better soon - internet shopping is great when ill.
ROFL @ Lynsey, I've done that too, it makes a right mess trying to put it in after it's started!!
BE - wish I could win something, well done!! I've never won anything that BIG.
Just about to do either a stir fry or a pasta meal with lots of veg. Have spent £72 already in March on food, my bank account will be in the minus figures tomorrow once I've paid my (unfairly inflated) car ins and as my outgoings are over my JSA every single month I really need either a miracle or a job - though a job would be a miracle right now!0 -
Kirri sending you virtual hug (((Kirri))) because you're so upbeat and positive but I'm sure that must be difficult much of the time.
Lynsey, I'm good at opening door on washing machine on a delicates load thinking it's finished and whoosh, tidal wave of water. These things happen.
Confession.. OH has gone to Tesco Express and local convenience store to buy me CARBS (Kettle chips and macaroni cheese). Can't face fish/meat right now !0 -
The "iffy" bread came out pretty well. lol
Just shaped it into a bloomer shape and never even let it rise again, just popped into the oven and it came out lovely.
Nice bloomer tomorrow for the birds.
Second time I've forgot to add the paddle, but at least I have the bread recipe now that's decent instead of the Wrights bread mixes.
The Lidl bread flour is OK'ish despite being cheap. I'll get some more tomorrow.
Not going out, so another NSD and less than £3 spent so far this week.
Salmon (slightly smoked) has defrosted and is still in the fridge and hubby will have that tomorrow, I'll probably have some more fishfingers!!
Just had jacket potatoes tonight with sausages.

Thank you Edwardia
I'm trying to see my budget as a challenge but I'm struggling now on ways to shuffle it about!!
Lynsey, I've read positive comments about the Lidl flour, never tried it as rarely go there, how much is it now?0 -
Kirri - I think it's 59p max, can't remember exact price and I'll check tomorrow or Saturday.
Only 1 pack of out of date yeast left (packets) and will start on the Amazon stuff.

LOL I've been trying that one for a good few years myself!!
I love comping, especially when you get a win like this but there can be weeks sometimes months inbetween wins!! I do it though because I enjoy it and anything I win then is a bonus
I'm really impressed with myself how well I'm doin not spending, I haven't spent since Sunday (for me that's amazing) and I'm still really well stocked, including milk & fruit! I should have enough until Friday at least when I can top up then.
Usually by Wednesday I have spent at least £30-£40 since the Friday lol so thanks for this amazing thread and encouragement
BE xMarch grocery challenge 147.28 / 150.00 :j
April grocery challenge 60.36 / 150.000 -
Just checking the coupons thread and to those of us who like "hitting" Tesco, they have a great Lurpak and/or Utterly Butterly offer.
The new Tesco leaflet has a £1 off a £3 spend on butter/spreads and Lurpak is £1.60 or 2 for £2. The coupon would see the £3.20, so the £1 would come off - 2 Lurpak for £1. lol
Utterly Butterly £1.80 BOGOF - again the coupon would see £3.60, so 2 Utterly Butterly (500g = 1kg) for only 80p. lol
Both offers available until 20th March - fill ya fridges.
