Hi everyone
Todays really wet & drizzly here
Breakfast: hubby made bacon sandwiches for everyone, bacon was unsmoked Danepak but it was really salty!
Lunch: just munching on bits and pieces lying about.
Dinner: roast chicken, stuffing from freezer, mash, roasties, petits pois, mashed carrot parsnip & turnip that I paid 50p for and loads of gravy.
Dessert: apple pie with either icecream or custard.
Yum yum0 -

Had small cauliflower cheese for lunch and then made 2 loaves of bread and had bread and split pea dip with dukhah for dinner followed by a clementine. At least a bit more of a balanced diet today!
Going to re-look at the meal list and try and see how interesting I can make the meals for Feb without buying much.0 -

Hi all. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and are all ready for the Monday morning!
Had a great weekend with ds, really enjoyed tin tin. The graphics were amazing!
Kirri - I did a crafty for my dinner. The bowling alley is close to my parents so I got dad to pick me up so we could go there for an hour before bowling and get our dinner at theirs lol. So no bus fares to pay and a free lunch. Mam and dad came bowling with us. First time my mam's bowled in about 50 years I reckon! It certainly showed.
I have a grand total of £7 to last me til a week on Tuesday. I'm not normally this crap with money it's just I've paid out money for my hol, new bedroom curtains, gas bill and paid catalogue off. Still not got a refund from Milk & More for that money they took out of my account either.
One positive is I've got enough food to last me the week, or 3.There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
My pie turned out great, really yummy, didnt do the mash, just beef in gravy, green beans and the baby spinach, was great also used the last puff pastry sheet from freezer, green beans were also from the freezer, i had just put them there, seen as my grocery starts from tomorrow which is payday will walk to the chinese supermarket during the week and buy some more as the pack i bought are now finished and i want some more chinese pears as the pack i bought are finished, will prob spend about £5 which i will budget for.
Slowly using up stuff even though i just put 2 packs of smoked salmon in yesterday lol, need room for my icecream! thankfully due to making a roast yesterday and the pie today i have enough for lunches and dinner up until wed/thur. the joint was so big i will be eating beef all week. cant wait for the weekend for a chang i'm thinking curried mutton and bbq jerk chicken wings, dunno what day i will cook what, but will probably need the variety by then.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Hello again everyone!
WOW - so much has happened since I was here last.
It's great to see new people joining in - I was a 'newbie' to this thread a little while ago and everyone has been really nice to me.
Lynsey, I hope you're better soon. Look after yourself. :A
We need you here, you're such an inspiration to us all.
Everyone else who is a bit delicate at the moment - take care, look after yourself and come back fighting fit to take on those shops again.
Bit of a hectic week last week as there were 6 birthdays!!! Thankfully only 3 needed presents, but I bought really nice cards for the others. We stop buying presents or giving money when the cousins get to 21.
My freezer was starting to clear, but then I saw some yellow stickers. Oh well, back to square one. I got some mince, some pork pieces,(can't remember the proper term!), fish cakes and pizzas.
I bought some veg this week from a food co-op. It worked out ok. I got potatoes, carrots, onions, swede and broccoli in a carrier bag for £2.40. I thought it was a good offer anyway.
Got to go as hubby wants to check e-mails.2025 Fashion on the ration

Hi guys
had small amount of money so plan was just buy what was on my list that went with what i got ensuring we
had enough for brekkies
packed lunches
meals
snacks.
got few reductions in spar sadly no meat.
talked cornershop into selling me 4packs of 6pk breakaways biscuits for £1 as slightly out of date.
went sainsburys mostly for basics ranges and everythings flipping gone up so much harder even their free magazine says make meats for £1.34 per portion which seems high to me!
went to tesco express-looking for 49p aplen bars and linda mcartney sausages sadly dident get any.
Good news the mystery clump of meat frozen together was
2small steaks! combined with reduced salad for me as im on sw and baked potato
hubby had oven chips and swetcorn
added peppercorn sauce was yummy.
kids had last reduced readymeal out freezer .
Still have to coom up mince and sausages
doing shepards pie but need more potatoes brought basic gravy hoping it be ok was 20p.
doing sausage casserole.
found 4individual sausages cooked up today and might chpp up and slice and freesze is that safe?
basically was broight frozen, defrosted then cooked?
think be good in sandwiches , in pasta or maybe top a pizza but was hoping to make pizza .
the sheperds pie will make 6-8portions and sausage casseroles 2portions.
brought ham so will do ham and cheese mini quiches.
but need more butter to make the pastry.
shattered best go bed.
well done everyone im enjoying being so frugal and imanginatove.
