Morning all
Spent a few quid yesterday as I'm taking ds to see Tin Tin this morning so needed munchies. It's only a £1 each with the kids club plus it's not 3d. Ds messes about with his glasses and ends up not wearing them so I hate the fact that every film is blinking 3d at the moment.
This afternoon I'm taking him bowling as there was a half price offer. Not sure what I'm going to do for dinner between cinema and bowling as I'm skint lol. Wish my csa would hurry up into my account.
No idea what's for tea. Ds might end up staying at his gran's so not sure what I'll be cooking. The Caribbean chicken didn't go down well. It was far too spicy for ds lol. I also found it a bit watery. Tasted ok tho but have a bowl full of the sauce left over.
Anyway, better get ready for our cinema trip. Have a good day folks.
Lynsey and Krafty - hope you're both feeling much better soon. xThere's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Getting very low on food budget as totally skint.
So until payday 19days away need to try and feed family on what we have but will need to get some cheap fruit, milk butter, eggs and potatoes.
its noot total disaster though due to my whoopsie hoarding.
I have 3packs mince in the freezer!
1pack of fish
2packs sausages
so thats least 6meals.
in addition to this have
1pack mince
1fish
1sausages defrosted in fridge another
so thats another 3meals
boiled up chicken carcass to add leftover potatoes to make chicken soup.
have about 8eggs left as brough cracked box reduced.
have dried rice and pasta
however out of passata
have no jars
and only 3tins chopped tomatoes never thourght my chopped tomato collection ever go down!
we have enough coffee and sugar I think
we have flour there including 4bags bread flour thinking homemade pizza night .
we have 1tin baked beans so could so sausages, baked beans and chips
have lots frozen veg.
also got some frozen berries thinking maybe try do a crumble and see if got any leftover icecream
coulkd make some fairy cakes too.
dont have enough yogurts might so sainsburys get their basic angel delight 10pa pack.
I have stock cubes but no gravy
running low on herbs and spices but have some.
I have loads of partyfare, pasties so hubby could take that for his packed lunch.
Daughters packed lunch-well have tins tuna and swetcorn
also have cheese.
I have 6loaves bread in freezer.

maybe 200 rolls still!
Have crisps but they running low.
but noticed cornershop have more out date reduced crisps so may pop in later and negociate.
cereals low less half box frosties
half weetabix maybe 8bisks
porridge but kids hate it!
So will meal plan today and stocktake in total as 19days seems bit scary.
if can get more gravy granules might get cheapy and potatoes can do
another shepards pie as got 8portions last time.
if we have eggs can do fritta/omlette and chips.

 People have been using raw ingredients for centuries, how would you get botulism from raw garlic you've peeled and washed yourself, I'm not that squeamish! I bet the same people would eat an out of date ready meal if it had been reduced, I know I have:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Anyway we haven't died yet:T:T but might fry the garlic next time and the chillies we use are dried!vintage43:A

I went a big mad on bakery whoopsies spar kept reducing 12pack rolls to 30p so have 6packs in freezer plus 9p rlolls from morries.
In addition to bgals teacakes and pancakes missing some crumpets and loaves guess if cereal run out its bakery brekkie!
But problem is lacking fillings to go into rolls and have
16more packed lunch days for eldest and hubby.
might have to resort to partyfayre for hubby as brought 20pack saisage rolls and 4pack pasties for 9p in morries foods food.
will try do soup and pudding night next week
maybe party night with all the partyfood
I guess whats dissapointed me is
no passata
down to last 3tins tomatoes/
feel bad storecupboards running down.
I want a stockpile but never seem to have the money to invest!
hoping liudsls passatta still 29p as will buy 20!
cleared extra food storage space in kitchen
feb tight month as eldests 6th birthday and car tax!
think have enough bogrool, washing powder, washing up liquid and wetwipes but need more pullups.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

Nsd's for me this weekend.
Have done well today, for late lunch, ive had no brekkie, i have had a chicken kiev, fish cake and chips along with a pot of bbq sauce all from freezer, last night i took out the beef joint i had, didnt finish defrosting this morn so had to wait a bit, but then it was too big for slow cooker so cut down the sides browned it, put a onion cut up in the bottom and have put it on high for 4 hours then on low for the rest of the time, will slice and have with some rice and green beans, also i will have to slice alot for the freezer i have the baby slow cooker and it is to the top now, the bits i cut, tomorrow i will making baker bros meat and 2 veg pie, i'm going to adapt it, beef, mash potato. green beans and sweetcorn, will be having soup for lunch tomorrow, goes ood tom.
Still doesnt seem to be any space in freezer, despite taking out a huge joint, kiev, fishcake, some chips and a small pot of bbq sauce, have until 25th feb to collect my free tub of ice cream so will work on it, although will be doing a top up shop on sat as my payday is mondayLose 28lb 3/28lb
