    In:- nothing
Out:- sausages for tea, think I'll do toad in the hole
bread for lunch to have with eggs, everything else out of cupboards.
No need to go shopping for ages but then again I get withdrawal symptoms if I don't go bargain hunting - sad
  • Chickpea Pesto recipe from Mrs Simkins
    http://www.mrssimkins.co.uk/

    50g chickpeas
    black pepper
    2-3 handfuls basil leaves
50g finely grated Parmesan (or Grano Padano)
5 tablespoons olive oil (use the best virgin one if possible)
    garlic to taste
a pinch of sugar ("the sugar was an afterthought, just a pinch but it seems to set it off")

Placed an Ocado order, just over the minimum £40, lots of organic offers and got free delivery :D

Tonight had a really lazy dinner after a busy day - hm veg/chickpea curry from the freezer, with rice.
  • Freezer movements:-
Out:- come cubed pork which was the leftovers from a joint a couple of weeks ago. Think I may turn it into a pie with veg and potatoes. DH loves pies and he's not at all fat - wish I had the same metabolism :) Veg and pastry for said pie. Rhubarb - will have to make a crumble and then I could use up all the oats I have.
In:- apples - must get around to finishing freezing all the apples I bought earlier this month, probably got 20% still to do.

How are you freezing them, whole or peeled/cored/sliced? Just curious as I have a glut of (free) apples and just debating what to do with the surplus.

    No freezer movements.
For dinner we had a YS Waitflower cheese/onion pasty - Mr G fetched home + roast sweet potato + roasted red onion, red pepper, white onion, tomatoes.
533 calories in the pasty - we shared it.
