But - I've signed upto the emails and the first arrived today and it was as bad (meant in a nice way!) as the Flylady challenge on here!!! A HUMUNGOUS list of things to do. All I've got is a shiny sink!!!

I need hand holding - quick before I go off the whole idea. :o

Just look at the habit for the month - the paper sorting one is this month. Just do that one.

I joined when the habit for the month was making the bed every day!

It's all baby steps so just pick one habit to make your habit for the month. Try to do that every single day. And then do a regular fling boogie to clear your clutter (I did one a week). That's it. Just do that for the month or until it seems easy and then pick one more habit extra. :D

  • According to my email, December's habit is Take Care of Yourself! That's something I do rather too well as it is! LOL  ;)

Im not single, but I dont have kids, but as a control freak/ lady of the manor I like to be fully in control of me gaff.

Im not a lover of mess and I hate dirt, but weirdly its me that generates it

I experienced a long period of poor health earlier in the year and my home went to the dogs, as did I. Couldnt get dressed, could barely leave the house, never had any food in, was generally disorganised and overwhlemed. it didnt help that physically I was really in bad shape, even light dusting exhausted me.

however once I started getting better, I decided that id sell my flat, and we needed to completely gut the place of mess dirt and completely repaint it and do loads of jobs and generally turn my tip into a showhome. Although OH did the lions share of the decorating, as I wasnt up to it, and was also pretty rubbish at painting

flylady helped me stop being overwhelmed and do more in a way that worked for me. Some of the tips from the flysite wont apply to me ( things like sweeping my drive or polishing my step etc wont apply to us in a flat) so I ignore them and feel chuffed i can get away with doing less.

But my flat sold to the 2nd viewer :T , the place is in porety good shape and it is motivating really to get those cupboards cleared out. Im one of those people who feel bogged down in clutter, so flyladying has been great for me.

Just join in with us! We have a nice little gang of us on flylady threads and we have a laugh and motivate each other (even tho Ive had a slack week or so!) :) I couldnt imagine running my home in any other way now :A
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • It can be confusing at first, I know! Try here - it explains how to get started: http://www.flylady.net/pages/begin_babysteps.asp

At first, you need to be deleting most of the flylady emails. You'll learn how to use them later. :)

  • Hi toxic Lemon,

I am also single and live by myself.
I dont have lace up shoes - I think she says that so people dont walk around all day in their slippers!

Perserve - and as someone else said on here , cherry pick what you like the sound of .
    I personally
    keep my sink shiny
do the monthly tasks like sorting thorough paperwork etc
and I wipe down the shower everytime I use it

I plan to pick up another habit - i just use it to get good ideas of how to keep on top of things!
