Morning my lovelies
Gorgeous sunshine here at the moAnother disturbed night here, cat was cooped up all day yesterday whilst we were out and she was jumping all over DD's wardrobe at 4am this morning grrrr. I was in DD's room as she'd come for a noctural visit at 1am but it's getting to be nearly every night so am worried it's becoming a bit of a habit. She's got a horrible cold but if she does it again tonight I am afraid it's back to her own bed.
No idea what's for tea tonightWe bought a big pack of sliced turkey from Costco the weekend and H froze the entire lot instead of freezing it so I think I shall be incorporate that into a few of the meals this week.
Having a housework blitz this morning, H bought me a CD yesterday so methinks a music session will help keep me going
Hester - Can't wait to see pics of you in full wedding attire. Dress looks lovely
Molly - Hugs sweetheart.....are you OK? Is there no friend or neighbour who can give a little hand with the cleaning?? xxx
ETA - Congrats Julie on birth of Grandson Charlie
Hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning All
Molly:eek: Try not to do too much at once if things don't get done the children will have to help when your cleaner isn't there and housework will outlive you so don't worry too much about an untidy house, Both of my kids help a lot even though they are both at school or work.
Julie congratulations on the birth of your Grandson x
Washing is on the line and another load is in (The kids did their rooms at the weekend  )
I haven't got an injection today:j because I have got the hospital at 1pm for my scan and if it is clear I won't need any more but if it isn't then more injections and on warfarin.
I am trying to get as much done as I can this morning. I must go to the hole in the wall and get some money out because it costs £4 to park at the hospital (bl**dy disgraceful )
Well I had better get on.
Have good days all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning everyone
Dry, bright and sunny here this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Washing on line, another load in whirring away, want to get it all line-dried and ironed today.
DS2 happy as his school is closed for a "training" day - DS1 school open as normal. I've taken day's holiday as mum and dad rather busy ferrying aunt around to various appointments and now she has had a fall and got a hairline facture in the top of her arm, she had a scan last week to assess whether the chemo is shrinking the tumour, but they had to reduce the dose after first lot because it made her so ill she was hospitalised and it hadn't spread and in the space of 3-4 weeks it did, not such good news and she's in pain quite a lot of the time.
Will be continuing with the declutter and may sign up for the flylady thread, see how I go. Mum and dad came over for lunch yesterday and stayed from 12.30 until 6pm, normally they would eat lunch, stay for half hour or so and go, think they are both getting tired with the continual running around and looking after aunt - nice for them to have a bit of a rest. Lunch turned out well, had roast chicken and pork, roast pots, HG new pots, cauli/broccolli cheese, carrots, peas, stuffing, yorkshires and gravy, choc gateau or fresh fruit salad and cream for dessert. Will be using the LO chicken and pork to make a rice type dish for tonight's dinner, am defrosting prawns at the moment to go with it too.
Yesterday evening got out in the garden for a while and planted my green bean plants, spinach, beetroot seeds, tomato and cucumber plants - the tomato and cucumber plants I've grown from seed and wasn't sure what they were, dad thinks they are tomato and cucumber - so that's what I'm going with - so they may turn out to be something else!!
Will be need to continue my research for a new fridge freezer, the existing one is slowly getting worse and we're mopping up every morning and most day's in the day at some point - not major amounts but it has a design fault which manufacturer has replaced part, given extra 3 years warranty and now that has finished I have no further warranty to cover that part, a call out fee is at least £50 and the part they need to replace at least £100 - so bill will be at least £150 - do you spend £150 on a fridge freezer that is 5+ years old and has a design fault - coming to the conclusion we'd be best to cut our losses! Been looking on quidco and can get something for under £400 - more than I want to spend but decent make, frost free, and of course will get some cashback etc, may sort that today.
Am hoping to get my hanging items sorted today, then will have whatever I need to get rid of ready to take to the CS on my day's off at the end of the week.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Thank you guys for the hugs. Now Im dressed Im feeling a bit brighter. Little and often today.
Good luck Butterfly Brain today xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Molly. you take things easy. don't overdo it.
Julie, congratulations on the birth of your grandson.

morning all
thanks for all the hugs yesterday. they were much needed.
congratulations julie :T
molly {{{hugs}}} i agree with everyone else. is there anybody who can cover her or ask kids to help out. if they clean up after themselves as they go along then shouldnt be too much work for them.
butterfly brain - carparking at our hospital is ridiculous too  you have to pay per hour that you are there. an appointment that shouldnt take more than hour often does so you either dont pay enough or you pay too much! you cant a risk while there are wardens about either
i've got a busy day today. think i have mentioned before that a friend of my mine owns a nursery. she used to be the area manager at my old nursery i worked at before i had ds and we've kept in touch since i left. she left the company as well and took over a small nursery (which is where ds goes now). anyway she was looking for somenone to help cover the holidays. its a busy time of year as a lot of staff going on holidays etc plus on girl is due to go on maternity leave as well. so i am going to be doing that. it just going to be as little as an hour or two day or sometimes a full day depending what is needed! really looking forward to it
going in today just to get to things sorted etc
so things are organised here at home for a change. just drying some bits in the TD. debating whther to put the bedding on the line or not... looking a bit dull out...
ds is grumpy. his own fault. he decided that he was going to mess around going to bed last night  he has to climb down the ladder to get down from his bed and last night he suddenly found the confidence to do it in the dark. so it was around 10.30 before he went to sleep  he was finding it hilarious but wasnt so funny this morning when i woke him at 8.30  he also asked for shrek on but i said no because he was naughty in bed. he's sat on the sofa at the moment giving me evil looks :rotfl: feel like a meanie mummy this morningbut he learns quick and we'll be back to normal tonight i hope
foodwise today - i have some leftover pasta salad for lunch. ds has lunch at the nursery today plus a high tea so he will only need something light later on. dinner tonight is salmon and veg. not sure whether to do potatoes or rice... will let hubby decide.
i've got a bit of a thing about fish and veg at the moment. cant stop eating it :rotfl: last night we had a roast and i had to cook myself more veg:rotfl: there are worse things to crave but i fear i am going to start looking like a brocolli at this rate :rotfl:
anyway i need to get moving!! just realised the time! have a good day everyone"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
Morning all,
Its a bit overcast here this morning, will leave any washing for a while, our basket is empty, but dd needs to clear her floordrobe which will fill her basket.
DD and I have discovered a little book shed in the next village, where you can go and drop off books you have read, and pick up different ones, like a book club, you leave a donation for the local hospice, apparantly they make a fortune, anyway dd and I have been several times in the last week or so, and I now have 25 books to read:rotfl: I think we need to keep away for a while.
Need to hoover through today, and have a good clean, had some more good sales on Ebay yesterday, so need to get those posted, have listed more on there too.
Ialso want to get in the garden, but will see what the weather does, also need to do an internet shop.
Molly you take it easy xx
butterfly, good luck at the hospital xx
Tired mum, hugs to you xx
Julie, well done on the new grand baby :T
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning All,
Didn't make it on here at the weekend as the dreaded vertigo made a reappearanceso best wishes to all those who had anniversaries, & hugs to those that need them.
Am typing left handed this morning as managed to wrench my right arm moving the small sofa trying to persuade Princess Hissy (aka new cat) into her basket as she is booked in for her booster this morrning. Have just noticed that jaffacat has taaken advantage of her absence & eaten herr brreakfast as well as his own, greedy thing.:)
Weather here is grey & drrizzly so no washing today although there is a load done that will have to go on the airer. Need to make bread, cakes & biscuits as all the tins are empty again  however today I have a secret weapon, a Breville Platinum pro twin motor hand & stand mixer:jwhich I picked up very cheaply on our local ebay site at the weekend so that will be doing most of the work
HH loved the dress looking forward to new pics.
I'm sure there were others I wanted to mention but my mind is a blank, so....
Hugs, spoons & hi5's all round, have a good day x
