So, are there any benefits to look forward to when I turn 50?

Only 4 months to go before I reach another milestone.

I was wondering if there are there any monetary benefits when turning 50 besides cheaper motor insurance and claiming part of a private pension plan?

;)

You will be able to go on Saga Holidays and Cruises and subscribe to their magazine full of adverts.

I'll have to go on my own then, I'm 7 year ahead of my hubby (sounds better than saying 7 years older).

Though the main traveller on a Saga holiday must be aged 50 or over, a travelling companion can be as young as 40.

and I believe that one cannot own a McC*tn*y/St*n* retirement "apartment" until one has attained the age of 55. Nor can one rent it out without a 10% fee payable.... I may be wrong, wouldn't surprise me if I was:rotfl:
If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D

You can go shopping in your slippers.. if you are female blame everything on the menopause and use the term ' when I was your age' when talking to younger apprentices of life..
Also you can take a photo of yourself taken 30 years ago to the hairdressers and demand you look exactly the same when you leave.
Seriously our Council Run swimming baths and health thingy does do reduced rates for over fifties membership.
