Looking for a decent ish digital camera for holiday snaps really, something I can take on my travel. Not sure what is out there on the new market these days so I have been loooking at a second hand Nikon D60. don't really want to spend more than £ 200 if I am honest. I know for this price in the new market I would be looking at a pocket camera but I am sure the market is flooded with them with decent specs, once again don't mind used.

Although it's not exactly a pocket camera, my Fuji Finepix S2500HD is a great camera for all sorts of shots. Try googling it or have a look on ebay.0

Thing you have to watch for with used DSLRs is the number of pictures taken as they do have a limit, plus you need lenses. For £200 you should be able to get a decent new compact and a large memory card. Look for sensor speed - faster the better to avoid blurry shots.Truth always poses doubts & questions. What could you suggest in compact range? I have to admit I am after something with a decent zoom lens. That Fuji isn't bad for the price.0

I'd second a Fuji. Had my S8100fd (now discontinued) for about 3 years. It's great, has lots of features and a terrific zoom. You get the advantage over a DSLR that there is no selection of lenses to carry around. True it won't quite match the quality, but is perfect for casual holiday type pictures and better than a compact. I've had ones I really like printed as 12 x 8 and they look really good with no loss of quality.

Have a look at this one "Panasonic Lumix DMC- FZ8 Digital Camera" there are 3 on flea bay at the moment. I have the older FZ7 model , again from flea bay second hand and it's great for holidays etc. There are more newer Lumix models to consider.

I also have a TZ7 and love it! Takes great photos but (in my case) not so good on flash.0

Fuji's suffer with very poor battery life, a problem they have never managed to sort out.
