Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Charged 49p each, DTD of 74p each, not bad £2.22 handed back to me for spending 36p.

 if you were charged 49p each at the till then you spent £1.47 not 36p.

Am I totally stupid and read it all wrong or is it really possible for me to send one to my daughter in New Zealand and for us to talk to each other for nothing?

    Yes, you can.

The easiest way to get started is to go to www.msn.co.uk and download messenger live (a button top right of the page). Click on download and a short video will play explaining how it works

  • Couple of DTDs encountered during an honest shop.

    1) Loose golden pineapples SEL £1.78 or 2 for £2.50.
    Offer not coming off.

    2) 160g sugarsnap peas + 170g mangetout SEL £0.99 or 2 for £1.50.
Again, offer not coming off. Possibly because we had mixed the 2 products. (though they were both listed as being part of the same offer)

Customer Services person was incapable of working out the correct refund (even with the aid of a calculator :o), and had to call over a colleague to lend a hand.

Ontop of this, she was rude and offered us no appology for the overcharge.
Worryingly she appeared to be training up a junior!
Perhaps she was demonstrating how NOT to serve a customer :rotfl:
  • Sesame bars in the "asian foods" section SEL 12p for 60g, bought 3.
Charged 49p each, DTD of 74p each, not bad
£2.22 handed back to me for spending 36p.

Were the Sesame bars cofresh brand? -> http://www.cofresh.co.uk/handmade.html

If so, looks like someone has already emptied Warrington Tesco Extra - or they were genuinely out of stock - either way, the SEL was @ the correct 49p :(
  • sellotape with a to clear yellow sel has a win a mini comp on packet, sel 58p went through at 1.40

Not a misprice but just a reminder!
There is a £5 voucher off a £30 spend in Tesco in today's News of the World.
It has the usual restrictions but that doesn't include alcohol.
It's a no-brainer if you are in Tesco spending over £30 before the 5th July.
    Spend 95p and save £5.
Of course the 95p spend helps towards your £30 shop if you are in Tesco today!
Obviously you can buy more than one paper and split your shopping if you are going to spend well over £60.
The coupon is on page 28.
If you spend over £50 you'll also get a 5p off per litre on fuel voucher.
    Keep Smiling

Tesco Internet Phone FF128.. 1pence.. I thought I was on to a winner here with an out of date sel of 17/06/08.. priced @ £29.xx - £19.xx.. but when I scanned it.. it came up at 1p  .. I naturally took all 6 & bought them.. Girl on the till (No self scan) was gobsmacked, so I just gave her a story of stuff I've had for 1p & its Tescos way of getting rid of stuff... I then found another 1 mixed in with new stock in another store & bought that aswell.. This is old stock so make sure you pick up the FF128 with £5.00 free call time included.. Barcode... 5051140246693..

    Happy Days :D[/quote]

Thanks for this OP, managed to get one of these today - has anybody had this internet phone working please, can't seem to get it working on windows vista,
    thanks

So am I correct in assuming that when shopping you write down the price of EVERY item when you take it from the shelf and then check it against you till receipt and also make a note of all BOGOFS,etc!
