Hmm that's a bit rubbish, does that mean you'll only get a few pence back unless you buy a real bargain, not keep the items ?
I'm going to tescos as well today was going to try and take advantage of the lamb on offer0 -
Just a couple of nuggets to add to that:
For a high value DTD refusal I'd consider a claim in the county court for breach of contract. The sign on the wall forms part of the contract you choose to enter into when giving Tesco your business. I'd dearly love to see Tesco put their "out of date SEL" argument in front of a judge (they won't, though - they'll just pay up after you issue the claim).
Also, if they're not honouring DTD, the policy is a breach of Section 14 of the Trade Descriptions Act. Trading Standards can prosecute them under this act for displaying a policy which is "false" on account of the fact that they won't honour it.
However, persuading Trading Standards to actually do this will be a whole challenge in itself.
They have put it up in front of a judge with me when i was refused on the old R&R policy on an XBox 360 SEL.
I took it through the small claims avenue and the judge ruled against me as he saw it as Contract Law and to do that it needed to go through the High Courts and thats a whole different ball game so be very careful and don't end up on the losing end like i did0 -

Not warning LOL just pointing out that issuing a claim against Tesco will not automatically mean them backing down.
If people want to try this route then all the best to them and I hope they win but be prepared for the worst just incase.0 -

Did he actually take them to court like i did and sit in front of a judge like i did!!!!!
Just because they backed down with him doesn't mean they do it for everyone as I can vouch for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be careful what you say as it comes across that everyone who goes up against them and threatens legal action will automatically get a refund!0 -

What you want is a half price offer that charges the full price.. £6 reduced to £3 and get charged £6 is £3 overcharged x 2 = £6 so you get it free.
What you REALLY want is the pricing error where it is more than double, ie DVD advertised for £10 and charged £25. You will get £15x2=£30 back so you keep the DVD and get paid £5 for doing so!!!!!
Then you come back on here, tell everyone else and we all get the same deal.
HTHI miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.
