i know this is probably the wrong thread for this but it invloves tesco and i don't know where to put it. I brought peppermint essence this afternoon from tesco. I have just finishe dmy baking and checked the lid to see best before april 2007!!!! that is 8 months out of date!! Di ring cs or just take it back and let them just say we're sorry heres your 34p back?

Ring CS or better still, send them a really strong email citing that you were making very expensive cakes with expensive ingredients and want the cost or supply of all of these for free.
One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.
  • I just got my double the differnce back ....... and i didnt even ask for it. The CS said they have to take you to the product now and get the label. So i had £6 back on my water filter..... I THANK YOU!!!

    - on Value Citrus, 68p, charged £1.29(fairly regular, this one - Soft Citrus and Oranges confusion, mis-labelling)
    - and on Finest Scottish Sirloin Steak(as prev. posted, but renewed)yellow SEL £13.45, charged 16.45kg
    - and on Finest Ribeye(expired yellow SEL 2/12)£11 kg, charged £12.99
    FREE MEAT AGAIN - YUMYUM.
Last Sat's DM Book Vouchers were exchanged for cash by CS, unprompted, as book is showing 'sold out'. I was astounded.
Finally, nice SA told me ALL REMAINING Advent Calenders were 1p each this morning and even handed out free - all gone before lunch, she said - then I found 3 by chance on way out, dumped on Wedding Albums shelf!
    3p duly spent.
    Jolly jumbucks indeed.
