It was quite amusing because I got two packs of Kronenbourg today and the manager came over to try and protest that they weren't included in the offer anymore. Unfortunately for him the crate of beer with the poster on it which stated that Kronenbourg WAS on the offer was right next to CS desk right behind him. When I pointed over his shoulder then he said "oh that's an old offer" - unfortunately the poster also had the date of expiry as 3/1/07 - he left defeated, mumbling to the CS lady to give me a refund - only one store of 5 I've visited had this poster though.

    Happy hunting...
    Hahaha. That sounds well funny.

Nearly exactly same thing happened to me tonight! As I was getting R+R on 3 crates of Kronenbourg and 1 crate of Becks the woman took me to show her the SEL, and she said "Oh no it's an old offer now, the Kronenbourg are 9.98 each instead" and then I pointed out the offer ending on 03/01/2007 LOL. Was finding it hard to keep a straight face at times, but easily got my R+R, despite her initially trying to just offer me £7 difference!

But renegede74, throw this line in, 'If I was buying this game in the intention to copy, which I have no idea on how to, why would I buy 2 ?
I bought these as gifts blah, blah, blah.
  • I mentioned that.
"it makes no difference, there's nothing we can do"
  • Having recently avoided tesco following a showdown with a very 'up his own b'side' manager I braved it today with my two sons, I HAD to go there to get something I couldnt get elsewhere.

My youngest is 11 and had previously been my 'scanner'
He actually found lego star wars all by himself, and between them they went ahead and put the money together they were going to buy my xmas pressy with and bought it...knowing theyd get an R & R

When they'd paid for it they told me..uh oh..i so didnt want to go to cs..inundated with every cs id ever come across

Little one went on his own, collected the game and I went out with the older one..
Little one came out with the game and said they just gave me the difference mum..

Had to go back in didnt i!!

Oh dear..manager then came down..then another took game and receipt..
    then another manager
then another asked for game and receipt
    then a phonecall...
!!!!!! then they wanted my clubcard..
then took details even though I DIDNT buy it
Then asked me to write down my name and addy
First time ive ever given correct one as I didnt want to let little ones down but tried to refuse and just got ..we have to have it or you wont get a refund
!!!!!! honestly..was like I was stealing, I even had the security guard on my shoulder all the time at CS
  • Does anyone know the price of Simpsons series 6 and 7? All stickered at £19.94 at my local but I thought these were £22.xx. I didn't scan as it would look very suspicious checking the price of an item that had the price on.

I had another good day today - some champagne and lamb chops. The Cs wanted to refund but needed authorisation from a manager. The manager would not come to the till - instead he had a 'runner' going back and forth offering me the £2 difference, then saying it was an out of date offer, then saying that there was no overcharge at all. the poor runner was in fancy dress and her hat kept falling off - it was hard not to laugh. The CS desk had a selection of Quality Street or Roses or something so I mucnched away at them for 20 minutes or so until they finally relented.
I also bought some Haagen Daas ice Cream, some on offer at 2 for £4, some at 2 for £5 - I took the 2 for £4 and they went through at this price, so I had to shell out £4...... oh well.

Any help on The Simpsons, much appreciated

I'm sorry I can't help on the Simpsons, but I just wanted to say that post made me giggle!

"it makes no difference, there's nothing we can do"

There are some stores that will take them back.

After repeatedly telling people not to accept opened games, cds etc, I mistakingly got 1 in a 2for£25 bundle the other day.

My wife took them back today, CS commented on the opened one, my wife told her(in no uncertain terms) that that was how it was sold.......£25 refunded.

I know of other people who have successfully returned opened media for refund.

If all else fails take one back (to a store that sells them sealed) and say its faulted.

You should get a replacement sealed copy.

Do this again with your other one.

Then take them back for a refund or exchange for anything in the same department(with a new receipt)
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Thanks - I'll just have to hope Tesco put the price up before I 'buy' them then.

K60sav: I really wouldn't worry about the security guards, half the time I think they are only ear-wigging for their own benefits! Inside job if you know what I mean.
I see them following me about but can't help thinking it's because they fancy me. :o
We talk about T/Employees on here but how many hidden Security Guards are here.
