Just been lurking over on EPH................see theyre asking for donations for a new improved website.

Theres a reply over there saying.......Shouldnt you wait to see if Tesco's do change their policy as has been suggested(more than once), before sending any money. Sounds reasonable advice to me.

So you wouldn't be interested in £40 in you pocket courtesy of Mr T ?

With respect mate, double the diffrence certainly wouldn't be the end of the game anyway. I will certainly be happy collecting double the differnce, for example i've had near enough 20 mobile phones in the last 6 weeks, at double the difference this would have netted me £400 CASH in my pocket. Ok not as good as r&r but not bad either.

I would also say that this site will offer so much than the Tesco r&r anyway. As you will have noticed we respond to more readliy to our members than MSE ever did or will !

So I would end by saying that we need just £170 to guarantee an even more IMPROVED continuation of thIS site for a whole year !

So lets pull together for a site that will ultimatly benefit all of us (regardless of r&r).

Come on stick your hand in your pocket and stop being bad old Mr Scrooge.

AFAIK, that's roughly the same cost as a Mars bar or a bag of crisps ... ?

If people enjoy the forum and/or find it useful, that's great, but we're just keen to improve it for everyone...

I'm hoping these rumours of changes at Mr T's place are just that ... nothing but rumours ... time will tell ...

I know it's a personal thing but I believe just one of the reasons that the EPH Forum was set up was because with all the back biting on this thread, it made people worry it'd be closed down by MSE, leaving lots of people with nowhere to go.

That, and the common goal of us all being able to save money at our favourite supermarket etc...

Havent been following this thread for a couple of weeks so am out the loop.

In fact IMHO - multiple forums are healthy - keeps everyone on their toes

At the end of the day if it were not for MSE then none of the alternative forums would probably exist.

Hi mate.....If you scroll back through MSE to where our friend (TE) mentioned this, I think I may have been one of first to respond to the £20 phone overcharge giving us double.

You know how many phones Ive had recently as well(although not as many as you).....so I agree ...it isnt the end for all of us.

It could however be the end for the majority, as (with respect)...those who only do the meat, crisps and other smallish value items...possibly wont see the need for such detailed information.

With respect to your site "being much more than an RandR site".....maybe it is, and good luck if thats the way you see progress...........but thats not progress for me.

I enjoy the one, two or three threads on here, you can see by todays discussion, by some really established contributers, that RandR is what we wish to talk about.

I still find the discussion on here, a lot better than on EPH.....but youve only been going a week, so theres lots of time yet.

But unless you get the likes of Ben500, MUNT, Hey Dude, Taxiphil, Plushchris, Richie23, Itscheapandiwantit, Spa2k, Constantine, Mcdonag, frequent, FloFlo Georgiac,Lttle John, 306NOTOUT, orainsear, Whirley.mikeywills, coupon-mad, brindles01, and other respected posters, regularly contributing to the RandR debate on EPH.......then your members may still come back here to ask their all important questions.

I realise you and your "head people" are quite qualified(possily more than me), and some of the names above already are members.

But the depth of conversation seems nowhere near the level of MSE.

Although depending I suppose on your point of view.....that might be a good thing (I hear others cry).

This again isnt a put down.....but everytime I read something about EPH......it gives the impression that its brilliant....."the bees knees"..........I think youve got a long way to go to equal the reputation of this MSE thread........albeit, that it includes a lot of bickering and trolling............although not a lot of "backstabbing" as one of your members posted earlier.

As I say every time........Good Luck........but an RandR forum, with lots of non RandR topics maybe isnt for me...........Theres millions of non RandR forums...........and I dont go there, unless I need info.

PS.....I will keep editing my list above, as other established posters come to mind.

PPS......I may not have include people that I know are members of EPH....eg shoperholicnot, ginjim, to name couple as examples.
