It won`t let me install adblock plus says ..

It appears that your browser is not supported by Adblock Plus. Please install the latest Firefox browser first. Don`t usually use firefox - does it only work with firefox? sorry another dumb question..
Should I install firefox and will it work with IE? Thanks

I think you should take on board the sheer amount of problems youve had over the last year or two.

Sorry I`m confused, are you meaning I might be better using firefox instead of IE?

I know there have been quite a few problems, hoping to do all I can to avoid something similar happening (well trying to do all I can that it might not)

Im saying that using IE has had you infected over and over. I would suggest you 'learn' firefox and use adblock
Actually, my suggestion is to use SANDBOXIE instead. Basically everything runs within a 'virtual pc' on you hardrive.

Just was reading that it can be used in Chrome and Safari as well now apparently - but let's not tell anyone or they might get ideas

OP, sorry didn't originally see that you wanted to add MSE and Avast together, or I would have said something. If you can get your head around browsing under sandboxie, then you'll be better protected than most people by far.
