Cheapest SKY Multiroom Option?

On two seperate occasions since I had my multiroom installed I've had letters from sky informing me that one of my digiboxes wasn't connected to a telephone line.
As far as I could see they were both connected, when I checked I got the 'Telephone line connected' message, turned out to be a dodgy cable.
However during the many attempts to register a successful callback, I swapped the card from the problem box to the working box and forced a callback, then immediately spoke to sky customer services who told me that as far as he could see both boxes had registered callbacks.
Make of that what you will.0 -
My only skybox was installed in 2002. I left the phone line connected to it for 1 month, then disconnected it and its never been plugged into a phone line since. Sky have never contacted me about it.
That's not multiroom though, is it?
Sky do not enforce their phone line requirement on single-box subscriptions.0 -

I'm curious as to how this was able to work given that a viewing card needs to be paired with the box that it is inserted in to function correctly? Surely Sky would become wise to a particular viewing card constantly changing boxes?
Nonetheless, while I know this site is about moneysaving, I'm not sure it is also about unlawful ways to obtain services by deception.0 -
Remember the Sky 'Go' service is free and allows you to watch Sky Movies and Sports etc (if you subscribe to those channels) via the internet. A multiroom subscription is not required. You can use an Xbox 360 in a second room and a PC or laptop connected to a TV in a third room.''apply within''0

Only up to 33 channels total depending on your subscription and only 4 of the Movie channels and many of the live programmes on Sky1, Sky Living and Sky Atlantic are not viewable so fairly restrictive.0
