I could do with one of these, but I won't be able to get to my store :(

They probably won't have them in my store anyway :(

Hopefully I will get a chance to have a look soonish.

    thanks

I'm fairly sure that carbon monoxide detectors have limited lifespans.
Do you happen to know the expiry date?

As matt987106 said "normally 5 years..." thats what the packaging states. Once the battery tab is removed the appliance is guarenteed to work for 5 years. Or error 'beeps' will occur

If anyone can find them at that price then snap-em-up. We paid just over £20 a couple of years back and that was with a staff discount. I think they should be sudsidised by the Govt just like Energy Saving products such as Cavity Wall.

Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI

Hhmmmmm!!!!!! You have got me thinking now. Mine has been beeping every now and then and then doesnt beep for a while. Replace the battery and not too long after it beeps. Maybe its on its way out.

    Thanks for that.

 Its in the garage with the boiler so out of the way.
I think it may just be using batteries up quick or may as you say be faulty.
It goes off wild when it detects carbon monoxide.
