akitabow you said "I was asked to leave the store as i was disturbing other customers" and ".........and again i was asked to leave the store". What on earth were you saying/ doing each time to get told to leave the store? That's quite a serious action; usually used only for drunks and aggressive/ threatening behaviour.

I wondered that :o Although in Asda merely complaining might be enough - honestly, their customer service is that bad.

I wasn't doing anything other than showing my discontent at their attitude, I was not abusive or agressive merely expressing my point. It might have been because the customer service desk is also the fag counter so I was holding people up and also there is a security guard who sits next to the main door about 5 steps away from the customer service desk who seems to be a tad overlealous in his position. I think the exact words he used were " madam, you're causing a concern to other customers, we are unable to help you so I am going to have to ask you to leave"

    Hmm, which store was this?

AFAIK there are no stores where there is not a manager floating around at all times.

IN my local store they tend to bend over backwards to please the customers, often at the expense of the staff.

I had a top ruined by a leaking bottle of sterlising fluid that I picked up in a chemists once - I wrote to the head office with a photo of the damaged item (it was blue and bleached completely white) and they sent me a cheque for the estimated value of the top (didn't have a receipt as it had been a gift). Worth a try.

Asda stores seem to vary so much I their attitudes to customer service. I suspwect it depends on the store management.

I'm glad to hear your asda experiences are better than mine, the store in question is in shoeburyness ( just round the corner from where I work sometimes) I don't doubt a Manager may have been in the store however this does not mean that the staff have not been instructed to say he/she is busy.
