I think he was just commenting on the stupidity of opening a thread that you don't care about and compounding that stupidity by actually posting on the thread.

And if you're are entitled to comment on the thread, so is he, and so am I and you can make more comments if you wish.

Back on topic, another £9 today.

That makes £72 over the last 10 weeks!

    Still not complaining. :D

the too long, didn't read version: geordieracer is wrong on this.

I wonder if he is getting mixed up with companies that get you to 'join' either free or for a fee, and then give you a fixed discount of everything you buy.

In those cases the 'discount' really does cost them nothing as they simply add it on to the price they would have charged so that they end up with exactly what they wanted all along.

How much do you spend in Tesco each week, if you don't mind me asking? Aren't these all worked out on how much you spend?

I usually spend around £45 a week. I need to spend £50 to use the voucher so the overall shop still works out cheaper. Plus I'm just using the vouchers to stock up on non-perishables.

It's not getting one or two vouchers I find odd, it's getting a voucher a week for 10 weeks!

Someone has suggested that I must be benefiting from some odd bug in their voucher allocation software and I tend to agree with them. I've mentioned this on a couple of forums and no one has responded that the same thing is happening to them.

  • Must be, we spend about double that and don't get anywhere near that number of vouchers.

After a hiatus last week where I just got £5 on non grocery items I've received a £10 voucher this week. I do need to spend £60, though but as I'm now getting wine and suchlike for family that's not a problem.

Nearly £80 since this little voucher spree started eleven weeks ago.

    And another £10 voucher.

Running total, £89 in 12 weeks.

Here are a few tips to get this to work for you.

    Get two nectar/clubcards.

Do big shop on one and small shops on other.

Always present clubcard/nectar even when buying papers costing 30p.

Small shop purchase can provoke voucher as they want to get you to do a big shop. Or at least provoke money off vouchers for individual items.

Also do you big shop in a different branch to your small shop.

Every week we get them in Sainsburys and Tescos.

Depending on which one we get most from determines where we do weekend shop.

And never shop in the same shop every week.
