    They charge you £5 for another 500mb. Not too bad overall but not what you took out.

    Hi Quartermass,

    That's absolutely fine. If you change your mind and want me to help resolve it, just drop me an email to the link provided. I will be more than happy to help get this sorted out.

    Ruggedtoast has mentioned online billing in their post, this is certainly a great tool for anyone who is either unsure of what package/contract length they are on and for checking usage. I understand that it shouldn't be, but if anything is incorrect from the outset we can resolve it as quickly as possible.

    I hope you manage to get this sorted out quartermass. If you need my help, just give me a shout.

    Best wishes,

    Thank you for writing to Vodafone customer services.
    After reviewing your account for the subscription number 078xxxxxxxx I can confirm that your contract term is for 24 months. I see that you upgraded your contract with us 28/06/2010. As this was done more then 90 days ago we do not have the record of the calls. Due to the data protection act and the limited space on the server we can not keep the details of the call for the more than 90 days.
    You must have received an confirmation email or the welcome document when you upgraded your contract with us. So, I request you to write back to us with any of those details so that we can look into the issue further and assist in any ways we can.
    Any inconvenience caused to you is deeply regretted.
    Regards,

    "must have" <-- No. I didn't. And if I did then there wouldn't be a problem.

    "due to the data protection act" a common cop-out, and it's a complete lie.

    "Any inconvenience caused to you is deeply regretted" No it isn't. Or you wouldn't cause further inconvenience.

    I suspect my next best option is to put it all into writing and see what their response to that is...

    Hopefully more useful than their webnotes.

    You should demand a copy of all that they have on you and your account under the Data Protection Act. Notes and everything. It may cost you another £10.

    And be sure to send to their chief exec the absolute nonsense about "Due to the Data Protection Act" section and ask just what part of it applied!!!

    It's called a SAR (Subject Access Request);

    Scroll down to "S".
