What annoys me is that you sound quite proud of the actions of your dog. Yes prob a training exercise, but dosent common sense say "oh, the police are over there, obviously searching the ground, I think I will stay away"

Yes, if proper full search the area would have been closed off, but come on, coppers are on their knees searching and you let your dog run wild?
  • I think some people need to lighten up. This was post to share the story of the dog and his doggie business :o. The OP didn't come on to be nagged at by other members. Maybe, she shouldn't have let her dog off the lead and maybe it doesn't matter anymore.
    Toto, I
    Don't think we're in
    Kansas anymore...

Wow, some people are really overreacting. OP, bless you and your dog!! I bet that was an awkward situation to be in!

I dont think so, most people seem to think it was funny, I dont!
  • Best hope that you don't get a letter from the Doggy Support Agency in about 3 months' time!

Dogs are dogs, if they are onto something theres very little one can do to distract them. I wouldnt worry, if they needed privacy to perform their search the police should have taken the measures to ensure there was no intrusion. As for the critical posters I wish they had other means to vent their pent up anger, as I can see posts asking for genuine advice and some comments posted would make people want to wish they were never born, im not sure this was martin lewis' objective when he established this:money: website!

I am a bit concerned (only a bit) that the sniffer dog seemed to enjoy the attention of zaksmums dog? arent they neutered? zaksmum said that her dog sniffed the air and next thing it was er enjoyment for the dogs! a neutered sniffer dog would surely have rejected zaksmums dog?
  • Aww bless..yes if it was something important then they definately would have not let people or dogs anywhere near them in the first place!!!

I have to say regardless of the police if you can't get your dog to come back to command don't let it off the lead - and if its that horny get it neutered!
