Nuisance calls from Vodafone
I called Vodafone to leave, since then I have received 19 phone calls from multiple numbers, when I was on holiday etc., I told them I didn't want anything from the first time but the latest call is an auto-dialer which begins 'Hello this is an automated call from Vodafone, we know you're busy....'
Yes I am busy, now F.O.A.D. and don't call me by computer, in fact don't call me ever, just go to hell.

Yeah, they do that... absolute PITA (I started getting them 3 months before the end of my contract, despite having the "no marketing calls" preference on my account) best way I found is to post on the Voda forum and ask the mods to be taken off the dialer (there's quite a few threads on the subject already)Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

Hi soil,
I am sorry that you have continued to get these unwanted calls.
Yolina is absolutely right, we can have your number taken out of the dialler. Drop us an email to the address shown on our profile page here with WRT135 in the subject and we will arrange that for you.
Kind regards,

If there is one thing which destroys a customer relationship it is autodiallers - I can understand soil saying FOAD - this nonsense has put me off ever having anything to do with your company.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Presumably they don't do it to current customers as they realise it drives people away. Their thinking must be that the customer is leaving/left, so what the hell? Unfortunately, perhaps they are incapable of thinking that maybe the customer will come back one day unless we really annoy him...
One credit card company drove me to cancelling my account because of their stupid auto-dialers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. The problem with Voda (well one of the many problems...) is that as soon as you're in the early upgrade window, they dish your details out to third parties (the "outbound sales team" in Voda-speak), who then keep calling offering you these "fantastic-only-available-today" upgrade deals and do not understand when you tell them you're not interested... I had a list of all the numbers they use which I picked up from all the threads on the Voda forum and added them all to my blocked numbers (with the simulated pick-up/hang up rather than diverting to voicemail) and asked the mods to take my number off the dialer too... made life much more pleasant until my number portedNow free from the incompetence of vodafail0

I am signed upto TPS and am about to cancel my vodafail contract as it runs out in about 2 weeks. If I get even one automated call from them they will get reported to TPS.0

Hi guys,
I do understand that sometimes it can be frustrating to be contacted when you are not expecting it. The reason we will call customers who are leaving us is because sometimes we have offers or deals that we think might be attractive to them or beneficial. If we didn't do this, the customers who do take advantage of our offers would never have been aware of the fantastic deals available to them.
If it is the case that you are not interested and you no longer wish to receive the calls, you can either let the advisor know who is calling or get in touch with us and we can have your details taken out of the dialler.
Best wishes,
Heidi

I get called about every month asking if I want an extra line - I must have told them a dozen times that OH in in contract to Orange and my 3 year old and 15 month old do not need a mobile. Then I say DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN ABOUT THIS - and they still do. Next time I may actually be very rude to them. Bah!

Disagree. My tie in was completed in the middle of May and since I because eligable for early upgrade some 70 days before that (so around 3 months now) I have not had a single call from them.
In fact the only time I get a call from Vodafone is after I have used 191 and its a customer satisfaction survey, which if I don't have time for it I hang up and generally then only get 1 text as a reminder.Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -

I don't think anyone would mind a single call to see if there was anything Vodafone could do.
But we are talking about multiple calls.
When I left Vodafone, I too, was inundated with these calls and they wouldn't take no for an answer.
This was a while ago, so it seems that it's a long standing practice of Vodafone.0
