  • Do you spend £150 on 2 children everyweek. I know I don't.
  • And some of that is taken out of child tax credits which are for other children. Theft I think!!!!!
  • As I understand your posts you are getting the worst of everything i.e no contact plus paying maintenace. From what you have said it sounds like you do not have parental responsibility as you are not named on the birth certificate and were not married. This means you don't have the legal authority to make decisions about your child so she can pretty much do as she likes and you have no come back. Once you track her down you will find your options very limited if she denies you contact and will have to go to court for a PR and contact order which I think can be done at the same time. You may find the following link useful http://www.fnf.org.uk/law-and-information/parental-responsibility

I doubt you will get any help from the CSA in contacting your ex as they are just money collectors and won't tell you her details because of teh data protection act.

I think opinions should be judged of by their influences and effects, and if a man holds none that tend to make him less virtuous or more vicious, it may be concluded that he holds none that are dangerous; which I hope is the case with me.

Crafty's case is a classic example of why we should adopt the Australian method i.e no contact, no money! It's outrageous that PWC's can block/stop contact for no good reason (violence and abuse excepted)

Unfortunately child maintenance and access are two completely seperate issues.

The CSA can do nothing about access or contact. All they can do is provide your contact details to your ex. It's then up to her to contact you although from what you've said I'm guessing that's not going to happen. I don't mean to sound harsh but I wouldn't hold out any hope of a positive outcome via the CSA route.
Eh, no they can't major breach in data protection for that to happen. The CSA collect money nothing more.

One sided stories are never a good example, of why we should do this that and the next thing.

Indeed and knee jerk reactions more often than not end up kicking the wrong person in the butt.

The CSA can do nothing about access or contact. All they can do is provide your contact details to your ex. they won't do this either - they are not a mediation service, merely a maintenance assessment/collection service. It's then up to her to contact you although from what you've said I'm guessing that's not going to happen. I don't mean to sound harsh but I wouldn't hold out any hope of a positive outcome via the CSA route.

Even with your permission, they cannot get involved in such issues - your best bet is to try friends or family but she does sadly have the right to disappear - you could try to get a court order to force her to give the info, but I don't know how feasible that would be if you don't have the details in the first place! I would seek legal advice ASAP - try a free half hour first to see if it is worth pursuing.
  • It's a harsh system! Same old story make rich people rich and the poor poorer. I mean I have to pay even if she done a bunk and then have to pay who knows how much to track her down, and then she can do again. So it goes to show not all pwc are hard done by. I feel that she is no better than a thief as wants to take my money and have no contact with kids. And then stealing my kids time not having a father. I am sure I'm not the only 1 and think this system should be scrapped that way the pwc will want nothing more to see nrp if at least to get some cash. I know some fathers do hide and if this is the case why would you want anything to do with them as kids probably won't but can make there own mind up. Or is it alot of pwc get income support and csa payments and think why will I go to work I get paid more at home.
