How weird - just received a "Thank you for agreeing to complete an evaluation for GAPbuster Worldwide" email , and there is a new job showing in my account (for a coffee shop on Friday) which I never applied for because I'm going to be nowhere near it !!!!

I had this recently where they assigned me a random burger job. It was one of my local ones, but at a time I couldn't do, and besides - only do burger/chicken jobs for Gap if I can get at least double the fee.
I left it there for a few days to see if they did anything to correct it, but I had to cancel it the day before it was meant to be done.

There is an option when you cancel of "I didn't accept this" hehe.

I did one too with 8 visits. I have to say I enjoyed it mostly because my kids are as into doing MS (aged 11 and 9) as I am and just basically do my job for me, writing down names and descriptions and asking questions I tell them. It also looks a lot more natural a 9 year old boy looking at a name badge than a dad! It is just up to me to write the reports that night. That is four 'magician' outlets done now in a month.:)

I have done the food outlet visits too, but this weekend I did one where I had to assess 4 rides and a show, buy a photo, spend a small sum in a store and a small sum in a restaurant and do 2 side shows. Was much better!!

That sounds much better - as long as the rides aren't too scary!! will have to look out for those

    Hello,

I am mystery shopping for Service Scan at present and enjoy it very much. But as I am semi-retired I now have lots of time on my hands and would like to do more of this work.

I would be grateful if experienced people can suggest which ones are the best companies to apply for. I was turned down by GAPBusters for some unknown reason (I used to be on their books but my account had been suspended ages ago, again I do not know why). There are so many companies that it is difficult to decide which ones are worth being with.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Basically, apply for all of them and then see what happens. Even if you are signed up to loads, it doesn't mean you will be run off your feet as it's up to you what jobs you take on.

    Totally agree with you Yonk!

The first post has a list of the agencies a lot of us use, so have a look there. If you find it useful, don't forget to hit the thank you button. a lot of people seem to miss doing that. LOL. :D

I have been mystery shopping for a good few years, recently signed up to some more companies and am more or less doing one shop a day.

I did one of these and filled in each section while waiting in the queue for the next ride. Instant feedback and just proofreading when I got home. The joy of long queues and smartphones :D

Everyone else seemed to be playing on their phones as well so I didn't even look too out of place :rotfl:
