No, it isn't. They are all different and as time goes by, you'll find some jobs with all of them. If I stuck to one or two companies, I'd only have done a few jobs by now. I think I must be signed up to over 20 or 30 now and I only regularly work for less than 10 and it's ever decreasing. I think I will end up working for a couple of companies only but they are ones I like, who pay well and are nice to me.
Just checked mine and ive worked for 33 companies this year. Some are only 1 job though.
Funnily enough, although I seem to do a job for RE every week they are one of the lowest yielding companies I have worked for.
I have decided to cut them out of the mix as they are not worth doing - even as fill in jobs.0 -

I meant ridiculous in that I don't have time to search thirty different web pages every day, two or three times a day, in order to check for jobs. I'm sure by signing up to more companies I get exposed to more work, but it's the logistics of it.If I stuck to one or two companies, I'd only have done a few jobs by now. Hmm. That does appear to contradict what you said in the first paragraph. Seems a bit pointless me signing up to twenty or thirty different companies when you say you work regularly for less than ten and that number is decreasing.
That was the basic point of my question - which ones out of the twenty or thirty on the first post do people find the most reliable for work.0 -

If you pass me your details I will make sure that I let you know anytime a company has a job in your area.It will save you the bother of looking.0 -

TBH I think thats a little cheeky. everyone else has had to sign up to all the websites to find out which are the best for work and most reliable and the most work, etc. We've all had to spend the time doing it so why shoudln't you? I don't mean it in a harsh way, but I know this thread is here to help and to provide support, etc but it isn't here to spoon feed.
I've signed up to about 15 diff companies. I didn't sign up all at once but did a few to start with then as companies were being talked about in here or appeared on the alerts thread I signed up to them. Maybe that's a good way of going about it?0 -

Agreed, this is what I've done - the frequency in which companies are brought up, especially in the alerts thread, is a good way to gauge if they have regular work and of what type. I've also signed up to a couple of companies just to see if they're as bad as everyone makes out! :rotfl:
You really need to judge for yourself what a company and their jobs are like, as it's different strokes for different folks. For example, some people on here really dislike RE betting shops, but I love them! Some prefer higher fees even if it requires a long(er) report, others are quite happy to do a job for just a few quid if the report is just a few quick questions and maybe a photo. But you just have to sign up first before you can see what they have and what they're after and whether it's what you want to do.

Why shouldn't I? Well in any job it's generally accepted that reinventing the wheel every time is a bad way of working and spending your time. It's always a good idea to take advice from others more knowledgeable and experienced than yourself.
I hate to imagine where the world would be now if everyone was forced to work out everything for themselves! Do nuclear physicists work out how to split the atom every time they design a nuclear power plant?I don't mean it in a harsh way, but I know this thread is here to help and to provide support, etc but it isn't here to spoon feed.
Well, I think that is a little harsh regardless of how you meant it.
Considering I discovered mystery shopping, researched it, signed up, and did my first shop before I even knew about this thread I would hardly say I was asking to be spoon fed.0 -

I also don't think you get that the company may be looking for specific demographics, so if you sign upto a specific site due to someone's advice you may not even see the jobs you were hoping to see.
Also in some cases specific companies might be 'the best' due to a shopper having built up a reputation with them, that isn't something you can leapfrog.0 -

But this kind of job is about working for yourself and working things out for yourself.
And its not about trying to find short cuts which is what you appear to be doing, but its about doing things thoroughly, and that means doing things for yourself.
In any case this isn't about finding out HOW to do something but its about getting someone to do the leg work for you which I don't think is very fair.
As I said I didn't mean it in a harsh way.0 -
