How on earth did you do it covertly?

Peatling, there is a reason they are with "the company that cannot be named". If there is something they hate more than naming the company it's discussing their jobs in any form of detail. When you sign up to the company you agree to not do that and in the brief it specifically says "All information contained herein is strictly private and confidential, and must not be discussed, disseminated or shown to any other third party without express permission".

If anyone on here is doing the same job they don't need you to discuss the full brief as they already know it!

Stryder - if you still have a query feel free to PM me :)

To the best of my knowledge, I wasn't discussing any "form of detail" or "the full brief".

I was simply asking for people's views. Sorry I ruffled your feathers.

Anyone had any experience of this company? Are they worth signing up for mystery shopping wise?

I was thinking of applying but they want me to send them my actual passport, not a photo copy or pdf.

Doesn't bother me! But I know the company monitor forums and if they trace it back to you then you'll be sacked. So please do continue to discuss their jobs, like I said, it doesn't bother me ;)

I used to work for them but doing promotional work, not mystery shopping. I didn't even know they did it and have never been offered any from them! I don't remember sending my passport in and I don't think I would be very happy doing so. Surely a photo copy is proof enough of who you are?

From what I have heard, a lot of shops (ethical shop, bowling, kitchen and a few others) have gone back to the original companies they were being mystery shopped by. So RE won't have many clients soon. Wooohoooooo!

Can I pick the brains of some MSers who are a bit more experienced than me...!! Can someone advise me on the best way to contact GAP re. a closed shop. Went to do a burger
but the shop was closed due to a fire a few days ago.
A) Should I contact them through the "Enquiry" section on their website
B) Should I email them directly - if so, what is the best email address
C) Should I try to report it through the WebExpress report (I did log on to the report but the first part asks you for time in and time out which is already not applicable).
D) Is there another way that I haven't thought of?!!

Thanks in advance

No idea how to deal with that one as I'm new myself but I have a couple of email addresses if it helps. Sounds like you were saved from a really burnt burger!

shopperassignmentsuk(@)gapbuster.com remove the brackets but the last email I sent wasn't replied to.

followup.uk(@) gapbuster.com is another email but that was for a shop already web expressed.

I have come across closed shops on several occasions for gap and have always contacted them through the enquiry system. They have then got back to me and I have received a closed shop fee. Hope this helps
