Aimless - I'd stay put! That sounds like a logistical nightmare!
Thanks Winnie, he seemed quite happy to change plans, maybe he'd realised how awkward it'd be too! I'm tempted to just spend Christmas sleeping, by then I won't have room for an Xmas dinner in my stomach anyway!
Congratulations Hayley.
After 4 nights of not being able to get comfy, I slept last night, only woke up for a wee once!0 -

Morning to all - still no signs for me, im going on a mammoth walk around Ikea today though im not spending a penny - or thats the plan anyway hehe being off work for the last three weeks i have spent a mini fortune on online shopping - roll on payday! eek!
So hopefully the walking around may bring on some labor hopefully:D I want my baby out!!!!!!! Really do not want that sweep - anyone had one?? I've heard that they are quite painful nevermind being unpleasant? x

Busy day today, got a party at a soft play place for my little one turning two then friends round for coffee afternoon. Tomorrow we have family round to celebrate his birthday. Only problem is I keep being randomly sick in a morning and this morning is one of those mornings! Just need to feel ok enough now to get a shower and wash my hair. Wasn't like this with my first, don't remember morning sickness after about 13 weeks.0

Aimless, to be honest, I'm tired just reading that. That said, I get tired at the thought of doing pretty much anything- DH did the ironing last night for me, which was lovely, but I feel bad now because he's doing so much.
I'm generally painful and tired today, but had an apology as soon as I walked in- there's major rota problems and me asking about the last couple of days holiday I have was pretty much the icing on the cake, on a generally rubbish day..... SMP is another issue, it's not really to do with the boss here but the company itself who aren't responding. A nice lady on freecycle who gave me baby clothing is a solicitor, so is going to give me a couple of words of wisdom later about that.....
Labour vibes to all (plenty needed!)0 -
Huge congrats to the ladies with new babies
and big hugs to those who needs them.
Has anyone here seen the film The Island? It's a few years old with Ewan McGregor in it and Scarlett Johansen? At the start when you don't know what's going on and they are all "winning" the lottery and going to "the island" - that is what this thread feels like! I'm excited for you ladies venturing off into your new life with your new babies, yet I don't really know what it'll be like myself - just that I'm keen to get there too and feel that it is a celebration despite the "unknown". Does that make any sense at all??????0 -
Blue Monkey I think I understand what you r saying. Loads of people I know r so excited with their babies. My cousin has started a facebook page for his 1 month old and updates it everyday!!!
Its my 1st and sometimes I just wonder what it'll be like when the baby comes, I've never had to look after something which 100% relies on u!! Don't get me wrong I'm excited, but at the same time petrified and other people who I speak to always say the same thing. "It'll be fine", "u pick it up along the way". I'm just glad my OH has a much younger brother so he knows all the nappy changing, bottle making stuff!
People always say having a baby changes your life, I think it's gonna be a steep learning curve!!Got married 13/11/10
