Wow, what a busy day today is!
Congrats to all the new arrivals, good luck to the imminent ones.
This is probably a stupid question, but would anyone consider going away a 3 hour journey from home, coming back about 4 days before their due date? I've half agreed, because I want to be with the other half in case the baby comes early, but I'm now thinking it could be a silly thing to do, and logistically awkward!0 -
I am so cross about this blinking c-section!!!!!!! My friend is due 2 weeks after me and she has been given a date for her c-section 9 days early!! She is in the same NHS Trust but not the same hospital. Her consultant has said this policy of c-sections at 41 weeks is only for women they want to try for a VBAC. I have made a note of the consultant's name so I can throw that in my consult's face!!! If she has hers before me I shall be so upset!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Turns out the bounty packs were more useful than I thought, each one had a £2 pampers voucher in it. Pampers wipes at asda are 2 for£2, so got 4 packs for free today.
also got one of the Johnson 6 packs for 2.50 and a Johnsons baby box with all the toiletries in for £5.
Got 14 packs of wipes now, think that's enough for now lol
Good luck to all those still in labour, hope you get your babies soon xx0 -
aimless theres hospitals everywhere, if your ok with giving birth away from home then no worriesnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0

To be honest, the hospital is the least of it... I'd probably have to drive there, and last time round I was huuuuge so might struggle to fit in my little car.
Can't get the train as I first thought, as I suddenly realised I'd need hospital bag and car seat just in case! Also quite worried about labour starting on the motorway. Or having to do the early stages in someone else's house instead of at home. Plus I'd have lanky teen in tow who would need parking somewhere.
And finally, getting all of us plus car home again afterwards. I originally agreed because, as you say, hospitals are everywhere, but am slowly realising all the logistical problems.
Does it sound like I'm trying to talk myself out of it? I'm in a hibernating mood today where all the future plans seem like hard work.
...Just spoken to him and we've revised the plan, he's going to pop home for two days then spend the rest of the holidays at mine, hurray, that'll be a lot easier.0
