  • yeah i think that may be the case with the hospital here everyone has to go to that one basicly, but i havent had a baby in hospital before so couldnt tell you the difference between a good unit and a bad one, hopefully i wont have the baby in hospital this time either, i dont like the hospital choices i have here, and to be honest love the way that when the baby is born you get tucked up in bed and the midwife goes on her way, nightmare getting the bounty pack tho, but that dosent matter, i much prefer home birthing.

  • do you leave it at the hospital or take it home and give it the cats/gods/ground/whatever, aparently 95 percent of women leave there placenta at the hospital in the uk.

  • lol thats one dinner you wouldnt want to share with the in laws eww

altho, in some cultures its widley accepted that the placenta is given to women to empower them...not in my house, its given to the gods to give thanks for keeping the baby safe (apart from the last one wich went to the lab because it was all nasty and broken)

  • I think it is safe to say I will be leaving my placenta at the hospital...

My friend brought hers home and her husband chopped it up and fried it like liver. He said it was pretty tasty, but I think I will be giving that a miss!

Next task, as suggested yesterday by someone, WW? Chasing down the rules on accumulating Bank Holidays whilst off. I know we accumulate ordinary leave, whilst on M/L - we get 26 days A/L + BH's usually. Would be GREAT to get the BH's on top of the AL. Lets see!

Hope you manage to get it sorted :D
Anyone got any tips on how to calm down before you go beserk? I've lost my temper today and its frightened me. Counting to 10 didnt work - I just told them they had till I counted to 10 to run :(

Not from me, I lost my rag with the self serve checkout at Morrison's yesterday and today. Useless piece of carp! Why can't they just put more checkout operators on???

I also went to Tesco this morn and bought the rainforest soother for £8, last one in stock.

Then in Home Bargains today I got a Chicco baby carrier for £15, usually around £30.

    http://www.mothercare.com/Chicco-Go-Baby-Carrier-Astral/dp/B00360NW0G?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_4&nodeId=42833041&sr=1-4&qid=1316031711&pf_rd_r=0R6WTFEMYHV47DK17RGP&pf_rd_m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=42833041&pf_rd_p=231490867&pf_rd_s=related-tab-3-5

I don't think we will get much use out of it, but OH wants one and I'd rather waste £15 than £30.

Good luck for your section tomorrow Twinkle, and to all those being induced. At this rate I'll soon be top of the list :D
