  • double posting now sorry, pigpen is it you that does the flylady thread, i must have joined it ten million times and failed badly. but i need to join it now, i have just picked up a bag of onions out of the understairs cupboard that i had forgotten about, i stashed them in there because they were cheap...now found the sorce of the fly problem..(really its disgusting) so i am going to have to gut the cupboard out between trips to the big white telephone and putting small people to bed and removing the middle one from her machine. im going to watch the thread join in but not post because i am the worlds worst for not doing it and feeling bad.

That would be me... posting often helps as you say you will do these 5 things then feel bad when you dont :p... they are a lovely supportive bunch and will understand fully..

I found maggots in the compost caddy in the kitchen.. I LOATHE maggots.. so promptly upchucked.

Old tights are grand for keeping onions in... they keep them dry and they last ages!

I found some bananas in the fruit basket, in a bag, under some other fresh bananas, the other week that weren't even recognisable as bananas anymore, it was soo revolting! Luckily after I threw them out and disinfected the kitchen table the disgusting smell I'd disturbed went away by the time I got home from work but it really was foul!

What size is it elmo? If it's size 8/10 I'll buy it off you. Its my cousins wedding in a few weeks and I need to buy something but can't justify spending loads on something with only 5 weeks til due day.

Its a 12, though im usually a 10 but this fits over my ever expanding boobs and bump - it was for a wedding also - if you want it you can have it its just clogging up my wardrobe x its a lovely coral colour and comes to just above the knee x

Got my 25 week midwife appointment tomorrow where i SHOULD get my MatB1. Having to have the appointment a week early, so i can go to hospital next tues with mum, hope the midwife doesnt moan for coming early.. Her fault for only doing tuesday appointments!

I'm hoping to persuade her to change my EDD for the form, from 30/12/11 to 2/1/12, so that i dont lose a week of my 6 @90% mat pay over christmas, when i would be off anyway, as we have to give a start date of Sunday, so otherwise i'll have to start on the 25th. What do you think my chances are? Are they usually strictly by the notes? Given i am a 1st timer, and babies tend to come a week late or so in my family, i reckon there is a reasonable chance it will be Jan anyway. I have no shame, so if nec i'll just turn on the waterworks about money and stuff, shouldnt be too hard, i'm usually on the verge of tears these days!

Make sure you prompt them to do the MATb1 form or they will forget - it took me ages to get mine:mad:

I think they have to go by the due date unless you are working until you pop so to speak - not 100% on this though x
