I know most people have said just to buy the one pack of thick maternity pads-but i personally got through a few packs as i had stitches and needed the padding for several days at least before i felt less sore and swapped to normal towels. As a red head-i also bled a lot!

Bored of pregnancy now. Baby has been moving loads today, a friend said that means I'll have a long overdue baby.

Oh abby I really know how you feel sweetie. My boys were 13 and 12 days late and it's horrible. Sending you labour vibes and lots of {{hugs}} xx

I'm actually really upset about it because Fluffy (nickname for OH after watching despicable me) goes home Sunday afternoon and if baby isn't here then I have to do labour with just mum, but fluffy calms me down etc. He can't take a day off work to come up if I go into labour when he's at work as he isn't the biological father. He has Wednesday and Thursdays off but it's still 60 miles to drive! And I want him here for the birth because it would help us get off to a good start.

What a nightmare for you. It's so frustrating isn't it. He's obviously too comfortable in there!

If it helps I'm a brunette and I bleed a lot too!

The maternity pads do look like nappies... but seriously if you do have stitches you'll be glad of the cushiony nappy-ness. I can just imagine how scratchy the always ones would feel!
