The fact that the OP is, by his own admission, ciscokid, explains everything. The guy has a gambling addiction and that always ends in tears. Sad indeed for the people who rely on him. OP, please get some professional help with your addiction.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Idiot needs banning again. He isn't here for advice, just a king size whinging session.
There is no advice he will listen to, he is way beyond the help of Mse

OP..You, sir, are a twit of the highest order!
I have no doubt that soon, you will be in the gutter-with the only money you are able to scrounge will be the coppers that passers by, throw into your paper cup.
My only hope is that you don't take that poor wife and family of yours with you.Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

Getting a loan to wipe out other loans is ino a bad idea as your still in same position albeit with less people wanting money off you. I wonder if he will eventually listen to the advice given and act on it.0

Ironically the OP is probably more intelligent than all of us. Stephen Fry has a similar (poss same) condition and is addicted to buying gadgets. The only difference is, he can afford it...
OP I'm willing to bet (not much though) that your wife is begging you to get your SSRI's. I know I did. I know you think you are right and we're all idiots but please do your family a favour and take your meds for a month and re-read these posts.
You are not an idiot, I know that. I also completely understand why you want a consolidation loan and why you think it would work. What you are not factoring in is your erratic behaviour and the fact that you will blow a consolidation loan on things other than your debts, or run up the credit cards again hoping to get rich quick.
I know it's boring, and none of us know what we're talking about, but take your meds and try it our way.... It just might workDMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Stupid advice ? Don't think so.
CCCS are not in the business of increasing peoples debts, take their advice, i think you'll find it works, borrowing 25k to repay your debts would be a dangerous thing to do. You have to address the underlying problems first, otherwise you'll be in the same position a few years down the line.0 -
