Just back from morrisons at kirkstall in Leeds.
They say they have loads of wii's in stock.
They only put out a couple of stock boxes on the shelf but have loads of consoles.
They have never had a stock problem says the customer service lady.0 -
I had a good game getting one too. I started looking last saturday, and had no joy.
Tried all the online retailers, aswell as Gamestation, Game ( x3 ), Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco, Argos, Toys R Us, Comet, Currys, PC World, John Lewis, Woolworths.... EVERYWHERE! All with no joy.
However popped in to the local Argos on Wednesday, and asked again if they had any stock, to which they said they are having 2 in, and i could reserve one. Went to collect on Thursday, and got it.
I think the shortage is becuase of the lack of components Nintendo can get hold of.
Its not the fact that Nintendo cant keep up with demand, its the fact that the factories that supply Nintendo with all the components that put the Wii Console together cant meet the demand.
We were also told by Woolworths that they were due to get some in on Friday just gone, and when we rang on Friday (We were going to get another one as a crimbo pressie for kids ) they said that they have loads coming over but they are stuck in customs, as Nintendo didnt have the right paper work, and should be sorted by the middle of the week.
So try and ring your local Woolworths, and see if they can take your number!0 -
Woolworths on my town had loads of empty boxes out with the price on so loads of people picked them up and went to pay for them. However Woolworths didn't have them in you can imagine the uproar it caused, a lot of disappointed people shouting at the shop assistants.
Luckily though I got one a couple of months ago as I had a feeling this would happen.0 -
Well I only realised this week that a shortage was probable. Have spent today trying to locate one, to no avail.
I have rung all of our local woolies and they have all said that there is only enough wii's for each store to have 5 before christmas, and that they are running a waiting list.
It's so annoying as they were easily available 2 weeks ago, and we can guess that it's a marketing ploy, but if, like me, you have 2 boys depending on it, then thats no help.
I couldnt find anyone on line in stock.0 -
I was able to reserve one today at Argos for store pickup, hope it is there when I go to get it tomorrow.0

Try next on line they are doing a package for £250

I would suggest Argos as a good source, check their website and reserve it for pick up when they get them in! They told me they come in in dribs and drabs and sell out again very quickly but saves trekking araound all the shops!:hello: TTC since 11/090
