Asda were getting stock in today - but we were told to phone first as they are not sure what stores are being allocated them. I managed to get the only oe at my local sainsurys yesterday.

  • word on the street is that there are pallet loads of them in the warehouses waiting for the official nod to release them.
its just another ploy to create excess demand in the country

    Any idea which papers?
  • Our local woolies like to `con` people. They always leave boxes for computer games out when they are out of stock. They had a load of boxes of wiis in yesterday but no stock available. They said they `may` have stock in next week if lucky!

Everyone knows its a con, how can a company as big as Nintendo not be able to supply adequate stock at this time of year. I can quite believe the previous poster who says the rumour is that there are loads in warehouses, but companies are waiting for the `nod` to release them.
    It makes me mad !

just bagged a console at warringtom Morrisons, they had 2 left after I got mine, and she said 2 more boxes had come in but she wasn't sure if they had wiis in or not.

give them a ring on 01925 445954, they will reserve one for you if there are any left.

Last week I sent dh on a wii hunt for our kids xmas present as I thought they'd disappear and the only place that had them in stock was GAMESTATION (milton keynes) they had loads at the time and reckoned they would recieve a good supply up to xmas. They were doing really good packages too!
I made dh take it straight over to in-laws til xmas as i know the temptation to 'test it out' would be too much;)
    Obviously a lot could've changed in a week but worth a shot:confused:
    HTH

I would test it as if it is faulty at XMAS they will want to repair as opposed to replace because it has been so long since you bought it !

I bought one last week from tescos home stores with the games pack for £179.99, however just after I noticed my local blockbuster advertising for £149 - not sure if it has the games pack though.
