I think the best time to do your shop will be 6-8am as most people cannot be bothered to get up this early and most staff start at 6am. So the shelves will be full ish.
Also you get all the fresh stuff.
I went past an Asda last year and they were parking their cars on the streets outside.
Why do people always panic!0 -

You can always pelt them with bits of stale bread that you have not eaten.

We have 3 large supermarket within 2 miles none of them have been busy in the last three weeks, I have got everything I need for Christmas except cream. The fresh stuff will be collected from the market on Friday early, meat, poultry, cheese veg etc and no more shops for me until after the new year. I will not be partaking in the sales either I hate the hussle and bustle of it all.0

On line shop from Tescos for me on 22.12.06. Will buy fresh veg locally christmas eve.
Totally off subject but I was in T J Hughes today and the girl was telling me the item I was looking at was in their sale on Boxing Day considerably reduced. I was horrified that they were open and told her that I thought it was a disgrace and not fair on shop staff that they opened then. As a matter of principle I wouldn't shop then, anyway I think she was that impressed with my "save the staff's christmas" moan she reduced the item on the spot. I was most grateful and impressed.Money SPENDING Expert0
