    I would definately want a sizable discount as this reflects badly on them, just hope the manager isn't sitting reading this thread! If they are - pay up!

    thanks guys, @piglet I have already paid and it has been for a while, even if the manger is reading this I would expect them to feel some empathy. Its not an everyday situation. Like I said, would accept a bottle of bubbly though I think a huge apology would have been nice. Maybe Im just old fashioned and think that trying to cheat someone is wrong!

    Thanks floss, well have just finished and I feel a lot better now. I think the fact that they listened was really what I needed.

    I wasnt expecting a huge discount but I think I got offered a good deal, they are adding another 5 items to my hot buffet menu (including hot beef buns which I love, wedges, plaice goujons and pizza, cant remember the other thing) free chair bows worth £70.00 and a free upgrade to a feature room, also discounted rooms for all of the wedding party.

    I am very grateful for all the views and replies on here, so thankyou very much ladies and gents. THE WEDDING IS MOST DEFINITLEY BACK ON!!!!! x

    I actually didnt do anything apart from stating that I would like the original deal we discussed, very happy that this was resolved. But as far as compensation goes I dont think there is any chance of that. How are your plans going sammy? Cant believe how quick your wedding has come around x

    Laaljocky,yeah im feeling so much more positive now, my BF said 'if 3 things have gone wrong, then that means your day will be fine' Im really hanging on to that comment as it is keeping me sane atm, Sammy I cant wait to see some pics of your weding as you have got a fabulous eye for detail.
