thanks guys, @piglet I have already paid and it has been for a while, even if the manger is reading this I would expect them to feel some empathy. Its not an everyday situation. Like I said, would accept a bottle of bubbly though I think a huge apology would have been nice. Thanks floss, well have just finished and I feel a lot better now. I think the fact that they listened was really what I needed.
I wasnt expecting a huge discount but I think I got offered a good deal, they are adding another 5 items to my hot buffet menu (including hot beef buns which I love, wedges, plaice goujons and pizza, cant remember the other thing) free chair bows worth £70.00 and a free upgrade to a feature room, also discounted rooms for all of the wedding party.

I actually didnt do anything apart from stating that I would like the original deal we discussed, very happy that this was resolved. But as far as compensation goes I dont think there is any chance of that. How are your plans going sammy?
