I can't believe they did that to you!
Lumley Castle is one of the leading wedding venues in the North-east!
I did enquire about having our Wedding there but as soon as we mentioned we were only having 18 guests they weren't interested!
I would write a letter, striaght to the point no waffling and send it to the Manager. I would definately be looking for something to recompense you for all this, even if it is only a bottle of bubbly
Please don't let it spoil your Big day

No news yet, someone from here very kindly offered to help with wording for the letter, they are busy though so just waiting for that really. I feel a lot calmer now though I must say, had time to put things into perspective and realise that worse could have happened. Thanks for thinking of me though xClixsense since 31.01.16 $122.13 Neo bux since 31.01.16 400 RR $1018.00

Hi Scotsbride, yeah Im okay just busy at work so not been on here lately. I have wrote my letter and sent it to 3 people in Lumley, owner, manager and team manager. The manager has just phoned and asked us to go through on Monday after work, we will see what happens.
@dom I really love the location so I am secretly hoping that I get something off them as family have already booked rooms, so would be a nightmare cancelling a ll of the accomodation and get refunds etc. But im not telling them that lol
Just a thought, if they do offer compensation what do youo think would be fair and right in this situation? xClixsense since 31.01.16 $122.13 Neo bux since 31.01.16 400 RR $1018.00

To be honest as a goodwill gesture or something they might give you some bubbly, but compensation to put you in the position you were before they did it, apart from getting the £100 back and the time and stress of phonecalls etc, how have you been put out of pocket?Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Thanks for the reply, just feel that for all the stress I have been put under, through someone elses greed, I deserve more than a bottle of bubbly. Obviously I am biased lol so was just wanting others views on it. But if it is a bottle of bubbly, its something I suppose xClixsense since 31.01.16 $122.13 Neo bux since 31.01.16 400 RR $1018.00

I would say a bottle of bubbly and a sizeable discount off catering:kisses3: Married 29th September 2012
