Replied to e-mail telling them to cancel, have since had a despatch e-mail so now look forward to receiving my 3 packets. As it clearly states a box of 36 on our contract under Amazon does this have to be honoured or can they still just cancel and refund?

I wouldn't complain if they just cancelled and refunded. That's what I almost expect whenever there's any sort of glitch or misprice. I object to them sending one packet when every order they receive will have stated that we were ordering a box of 36. They will have seen the orders THEN decided to see if they could get away it. I'll be expecting a full refund. I'd rather buy my boy the extra cards in Sainsbury's than waste £3.00 on postage

I agree but when they have despatched the item when the listing quite clearly stated 36 packs it is not an error on the amount only the price. So by only sending one item they have not fulfilled the contract that has been paid for. I would like to know their explanation as to why 3 days in a row the price dropped to 75p for a short period of time and there has been no alterations to listings.
It only takes a second to say thanks!

I had a call yesterday off the entertainer, a very nice lady on the other end apologising for their mistake, and giving me a full refund, and can keep the 4 packets of cards, so it might not be the deal that some of you expected, but its still cards for nothing! I realy didnt expect to pay £6 and have £100 of cards delivered!

They are a disgrace. If the price was for one set of cards why on earth would the P&P be so high? They knew exactly what they were doing and the result has meant my 7 year old son is in floods of tears whilst I try to explain why his 36 sets of cards will not now be delivered. I will be contacting Amazon to get them to get an explanation. My order clearly states 36 sets of cards.

Not being funny or nothing, but why would you promise your son a box of 36 cards, when you could clearly see this as a misprice? they are currently £22.99 delivered on amazon, and may I suggest you dont promise something to a child, then let him down :(

I can see your point but there is clearly a case of false advertising here. The seller sold the cards at this price for 3 consecutive mornings. It was always in the morning before the price was re-adjusted. That could be seen as a deliberate attempt to lure in customers.

The seller should have contacted the buyers in all cases saying it was an error in pricing and as such could not fulfill the order. However it would seem that they have instead dispatched *one packet* instead of the box as stipulated in the order. By sending an email to say that the order has been dispatched the seller has entered into a legally binding contract under the terms and conditions as listed on the Amazon website.

I would say that the seller is on a very sticky wicket here and has not followed the correct procedure.

I find their handling of this totally bizarre. Imagine you bought a set of cutlery at a stipulated price. Instead of satisfying your order the seller sends you a teaspoon. That is quite clearly mis-selling and contravenes all sorts of legal conditions.

They are selling on Amazon not a market stall in the Barras in Glasgow.

    Interesting.

They tried to call me yesterday, but have dispatched my order this morning.

I'll be speaking to them I think.

Where does it say when they're dispatched that they've entered a contract?

Please note that for items ordered from Amazon.co.uk this e-mail is only an acknowledgement of receipt of your order and your contract to purchase these items is not complete until we send you an e-mail notifying you that the items have been dispatched to you. For items purchased from third parties in Marketplace, your contract to purchase these items is not complete until you receive an e-mail notifying you that the item has been dispatched. Just a thought. By them refunding in full and telling us to keep the cards that have been sent, is that in a way offering some form of compensation and by us accepting them we waive any more rights?
