I think it was just who ever told him does not know the rules, JSP 752 clearly states what I said above. It is only single people who occupy a privately maintained property that need to provide the 3 bits of evidence, married people are deemed to occupy the family home.

This is basically, to stop they young ones that still live with mummy and daddy getting a mock rent book made up and claiming.

Well I blooming well wish I had spoken to u first!!!! lol. It took us ages to get the 3 utility bills with us having to wait until hubby was home to call the companies, so we ended up missing out on a least a couple of months GYH cos of this

I would complain, because regardless if you had to produce documents or not, he should not have missed out on any GYH(T).

When someone joins my Unit, they fill in an Arrivals Proforma, which we then use to decide what, if any allowances they are entitled to. If they need to produce documentation, then we inform them and tell them that the allowances won't start until they have produced the documentation, however, it will be back dated to the date the joined the Unit. But like I said in the beginning your husband should not have had to produce anything, so there should have been no delay in starting his GYH(T). Definitely work complaining about.

I looked at the Reference at work today for you, so your hubby could have a look, but I have forgotten it. :o Though it's definitely JSP 752, so he can have a look himself, it's on the intranet.

Hubby away at mo but when he gets back I'll show him this. Would be great if we could get it backdated to at least when we got married (December) if not before.

    Thanks again!! :)
