hi there moneysaver 12,
weve been to greenacres and hafan y mor in wales , a few times with our little boy when baby, toddling and aged 5.
I would say out of the two, greenacres is the nicest for that age- personally because
GREENACRES
its a nice quiet site with ducks waddling about and a little brook
immediate beach access over some little dunes, lovely wide empty beach
has a small soft play perfect for his age
pool is ok, not the main focus, but not too busy/noisy and nice splash zone outside
portmerion is nearby for a nice day out
HAFAN Y MOR
good site, very impressive pool zone but can be noisy or overwhelming for little ones (?)
not great beach, difficult with a buggy, but good for throwing pebbles!
although theyve got two good playgrounds outside, theyve ripped out the soft play they had and just put a few more arcade games in
you might end up with a chalet as accommodation is a mixture (if on a daily mail/sun deal)
we found it a bit 'in the middle of nowhere' location-wise
you could drive to abersoch for the day though which we do, its fab
if i were u I'd stay at greenacres and 'bob round' to hafan y mor one of the days to have a nosey
only my opinionhope it helps
Live near both parks and have grown up with them we love Hafan Y Mor because of the brill pool but my kids are a bit older...we have also stayed in Haven Quay West which is smaller which has the warmest pool we've ever been to beach not so easy to get to but Newquay is lovely...0 -
has anyone got pics of the new watersides at devon cliffs please ?0

If you go to Hafan Y Mor - go down to the beach which is in the photo on this thread so that you are facing it. If you follow the costal path to your left (so that you take it all the way round the edge of the park and keep the sea to your right) you will come to a beautiful little cove after about a mile walk. If you go halfboard be prepared for a long wait for your dinner as its so busy and the queues are horrendous! The park is split in two by a bridge and it can be a bit of a walk if you are in a chalet to get to the pool and main areas.
Seashore in Great yarmouth is a nice little park - its quite quiet with a smallish pool area - its split into two pools, one graduated pool for children and a larger one which is deeper for adults. No flumes. No beach access but its just across the road.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0
