Does anyone have any views about the beach and pool at sites in Norfolk? eg Caister, Seaview, Hopton, etc

Seashore in Yarmouth has been our Easter break for the last three years (and will be next year). Its a nice location and although its quite quiet compared to other Haven parks there is still a bit too do. The pool can get quite busy and its a bit more basic without flumes, just a smaller splash pool next to a larger, deeper pool. There is a little bit outside where there are water sprayers and little fountains.

There is only one entertainment bit and its quite small. We enjoyed our stay there because we dont spend all the time on the park. If you are one of these people that dont like to leave the park then Caister maybe better for you as its alot livelier, especially for the children.

  • I've not been to Haven myself, but I recently stayed with my family at the Ocean Edge Holiday Park in Morecambe and we loved it.

The park sits right on the Morecambe Bay coastline and so it's really easy to get down to the beach.

They have a nice warm rectangular inside pool, which is very well maintained, but I'm a fan of the sauna myself.

Morecambe Bay is also full of things to do with the family - like bowling, the cinema, lazer quest and it has a beautiful promenade for walks.

I believe South Lakeland Parks also have a few more in the area, but I've not been to these parks.

    hi there moneysaver 12,
weve been to greenacres and hafan y mor in wales , a few times with our little boy when baby, toddling and aged 5.
I would say out of the two, greenacres is the nicest for that age- personally because
    GREENACRES
its a nice quiet site with ducks waddling about and a little brook
immediate beach access over some little dunes, lovely wide empty beach
has a small soft play perfect for his age
pool is ok, not the main focus, but not too busy/noisy and nice splash zone outside
portmerion is nearby for a nice day out

    HAFAN Y MOR
good site, very impressive pool zone but can be noisy or overwhelming for little ones (?)
not great beach, difficult with a buggy, but good for throwing pebbles!
although theyve got two good playgrounds outside, theyve ripped out the soft play they had and just put a few more arcade games in :(
you might end up with a chalet as accommodation is a mixture (if on a daily mail/sun deal)
we found it a bit 'in the middle of nowhere' location-wise
you could drive to abersoch for the day though which we do, its fab

if i were u I'd stay at greenacres and 'bob round' to hafan y mor one of the days to have a nosey

only my opinion ;) hope it helps

Thankyou for your help samsil. The pool at Greenacres, does it have any slides inside for little ones, think the time of year we are thinking of going either April or September will be too cold to go outside, if we go september we will have a three month old baby too.

Just seen that the splash zone is only open may to August. Is the kids club for toddlers on in April and September?

hiya, hmm I cant remember about greenacres with slides....?

I do know that hafan y mor had a designated baby and toddler pool area with a kind of pirate ship thing in it :) it was busy, but I guess if your little ones a daredevil you may be better where all the action is!
also at hafan y mor just above the toddler area there is a decking area with sunbeds where I could go with our baby to have her nap too, so that was a plus ...enjoy!

Thankyou Samsil. Another question, what type of accomdation is really good, was looking at the deluxe plus and the prestige.
