Forum Team Editing posts

Hi everyone

So you're fully aware of our current stance on the Forum Team editing posts:

As much as possible we try to keep threads and posts going for the good of the forum.

The Forum Team generally limits the editing of posts to those that include:

• Swearing
• Personal Details

So if a post is a long one with good content, but a single line in it contains one of these, we may remove those details rather than delete the entire post. When we do this, we try not to change the meaning of the post – we simply remove the phrase(s) that breach our terms and conditions.

Posts may also be edited by our in-house lawyer (MSE Investigator) for legal reasons and by MSE Editorial Team members to insert additional information when a thread is going in the weekly email or a main site article.
