Husband refusing to go on booked holiday

Hi All

I have just had yet another row with husban and he is now saying he won't go on holiday that is departing tomorrow, just me and him are booked to go on a package holiday to Greece.

Is there any reason why I cannot go on my own. can I just turn up at the airport and get on the plane or is there a problem with there only being me when there should be 2 of us??

I feel sick but I will go on my own if I have to.

I can't think of any reason why you couldn't go on your own. Who knows, it might be the break you both need from each other.

Yes, you're perfectly entitled to go on your own.
Perhaps he might change his tune when he sees you are determined although it sounds like you might prefer to go on your own.

I don't think they'll be any problem with it, as long as you're not expecting any money back from the holiday booking. I've booked 2 people in for ferries and multiple hotels (in case I wanted to take a friend) and turned up on my own without any trouble. He'll probably have got over it by morning. What's the cancellation policy? Would it be better to just cancel and get your money back?

I'd probably try sorting your problems out and going together...Will probably enjoy the holiday more that way...
  • men are best treat like children when they are like this- ignore his tantrums and simply carry on with your plans.leave his bag ticket and passport on the table if he decides to change his mind.
my oh is prone to preholiday tantrums too, he then has on holiday tantrums and then returns saying it was best holiday hes had:eek:

Of course you can go on your on, and just think, you'll have more spending money! ;)

Don't not go because he's having a hissy fit, go and enjoy yourself.

Have to say if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't hesitate to go on my own! x

Can't see any reason for you not to go. I am assuming he agreed to it in the beginning. Go and enjoy it, his loss not yours!

Been on a few solo holidays, the only real problem is rubbing suntan lotion on your back.

    Have fun.
