EA should be selling the outside space as low maintenance and also emphasise the off street parking.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0

am i also right in reading the blurb, thinking theres too much.
i thought perhaps bullet points etc?0 -
Yes it is the photos to blame tbh! They are not showing the rooms full size from room entrance and clearly the kitchen has the important bits missing (storage) out of the photo!
Lose things to make more space, amazing how bigger a room is without `things` shove them in drawers if you have too or pack away if not used or needed LOL!
Reduce amount of furniture in rooms if you can to make more floor space.
Bathroom i would remove all toiletries/storage racks etc to create a feeling of space and ensure tiles and suite is sparkly always makes a room feel bigger when shiny.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

It's Scotland - that's mainly how property's marketed there. Don't think that would put people off. Have known them to still make offers on an 'offfers over' if there are no notes of interest after several weeks.
Jx
Not true - it's how they used to be sold during the bubble years. Fact is that in the current climate of stagnating/falling prices, the offers over system has pretty much collapsed. People do still sometimes try it when the property first goes on the market, but these generally fall back to fixed prices after a short time.
The main property sites offer filters to filter out "offers over" as most buyers want fixed prices. In the past people would put offers over 200,000 when they actually wanted 300,000 just to drum up interest and buyers are very wary of that now. Finally the house reports which are still required in Scotland give a fixed value which totally undermines the offers over system. Agree with others that the pictures are terrible, but in a buyer's market, you need to also think about the price. Change it to fixed price and consider dropping the price if it's not comparable with what similar houses are selling for (and I do mean selling price rather than just their asking price).0 -
Skip the bit in the blurb about being a dentist's surgery. The mental image of teeth being drilled into in their bedroom may be putting people off. Get rid of the "Surgery" door sign. Just pretend it's always been a nice residential cottage unless someone asks
For what it's worth, though, I like it.0 -
Hi,
the first photie looks like a wee church added on to the side of the house at a funny angle, never known a door bell to be a selling point, why have a gittar in a photie?0 -
Quite cluttered i'd say. Don't forget to put the coffee on when viewing...mmmmm lovely aroma.0

Agreed, I don't think that it having been a dental surgery is a selling point and could actually put people off.0 -
