    Yeah, think of the money!

Did you find Primark? I've had to stop going into ours, I just can't help myself on there! :o
I did! I spent £33 which isn't bad and now have a number of new tops/jumpers. I'm just hoping they fit as I didn't have time to try anything on :o

Good news! Another £5 Amazon voucher landed today courtesy of SB and I'm up to 524 points with them (849 needed for another £5) I've also requested another £5 from Mysurvey. Current Amazon situation is:

    Balance in account - £83.69
Waiting to redeem - £15 Mysurvey, £10 Ipsos (takes 6 weeks according to their snooty email. Gits)
Will take balance to - £108.69

I only need £111 for a Kindle!!! I might just pay the £2.31 myself :rotfl::rotfl: It would be satisfying to know that it cost me none of my own money at all though ;)

Bedtime now - another 12-13 hour day tomorrow, woo....!

    Morning all :D

    Surveys

Ipsos - 745 points (1380 needed for redeem), £10 voucher requested
    Mysurvey - 470 points (550 needed for £5 redeem) £15 vouchers requested
Onepoll - £11.55 (£40 needed for payout) Suspect this will be used next Christmas not this one!
Valued Opinions - £3.50 with £2.50 pending (£10 needed for payout)
    Swagbucks - 530 (849 needed for payout)
Toluna - 65,659 (80,000 needed for redeem) I really need to start doing their longer surveys, but find them so dull....!

    Money

    PAD/Spends - £77
    Entertainment - £40.72
    Groceries - £106.48
    Mortgage fund - £56.43
    Treat/handbag fund - £59.23
    Loan repayment fund - £1286.28
    Purse - £17

Things are ticking over ok, but there are still 21 days until payday, which feels like a really long time.

I've also been very naughty and agreed to buy a painting from an artist friend of mine, but it was "only" £40 and is lovely. I'm picking it up today. I have money set aside for this elsewhere.

I'm doing a 12.5 hour shift today, which sucks for many reasons, but which will give me lots more lovely overtime. I'm submitting last month's overtime today which will be paid in September's salary, so that's going to be hundreds of pounds of extra money, split roughly equally between spend and splurge!

Better get going I suppose. Have a lovely day!
  • Hi FF

Hope all your treats from yesterday fit you :) Any chance of a peek at the picture you've bought off your friend? I really love original artwork :D

How are you feeling now are you all better? I'm still bleurgh! - i can't even enjoy my coffee as nothing tastes right :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: As you say it is a big shift for you today - and right now you are probably at about the halfway mark on getting through it but as you say the overtime will be fab - so woo! for that :)

    Morning all :D

I didn't get home last night until after 10pm :eek:That was a long day. Still, I ended up having to take my car to the office over the bridge so that's going to be a little extra money when the petrol expenses come back ;)

A couple of good pieces of MSE news today:

NPower have validated the last part of my cashback for moving to them, so that's £75 coming my way in the next Quidco run :D

Mysurvey have paid out my £10 Amazon voucher, so the balance is now just over £93 :D:D

KGB Deals have Kindle covers for £10 today with £3.99 P&P. I used credit in my account, so have a cover on it's way to me for only the P&P cost :)

I managed to complete a SB survey today for 100SB so need less than 200SB for my next voucher. Hurrah hurrah hurrah!

Yesterday was a day of spendiness:-

New diary as the spine of mine has exploded £8.99 (I only buy the massive WH Smith diaries, and haven't found a cheaper substitute in the last 10 years. Bah!)

Duvet/pillows for the spare room £13.99 (Bless you Aldi!)

Sewing machine £14.99 (mini one for use in crafting. Not sure how to work the sodding thing, may be impulse purchase too far...)

I only ended up paying about £9 for the duvet/sewing machine though as I returned the slow cooker I bought which I had already paid off my credit card, so minimal extra money spent. I'm going to have to be very good for the rest of the month as my spends account is looking a little sickly with 19 days until payday!

Redeemed some Nectar points for £7.50 of Amazon vouchers, so the time to buy the Kindle is nigh!

I read a lot of crime fiction - the gorier the better :D I love authors like Karin Slaughter and Cody McFadyen.

Also some fantasy too like Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett, although I'm sticking to my "real" books for them!
