Could it of found something or is it supposed to do that? What do I do now? Sorry for all the questions :o

Was it a blue screen that came up? Or was it the same kind of screen as in the pictures from the webpage?

See if it produced a log file.

Many thanks for reading this very long post but im desperate now as Its got photos of my children and a lot of personal information eg. my birthday and place of birth, Im a bit sensitive about identity fraud :(

Odd that you say your sensitive to ID fraud, and yet your account holds quite a bit of personal information?

Anyways, I doubt anyone here is going to be able to help you get your account back. Youd have to contact facebook about that (And theres no saying youll ever get it back, but they will hopefully be at least able to completely remove it)
As for why its happened - theres a very good chance it was a bogus 'app' you had. A lot of these so called aps are simply criminals trying to get a hold of information, regardless of how legit the app itself appears to run.
Russ mentions a keylogger. Well if it was, its only affected facebook, and so again, points towards a facebook app

    Hi,
thanks for replying, I had my settings set to where I wouldnt show up if for example you were to search for me, info only available to me eg my date of birth, home town. The hacker now has that info that was never intended for anyone else but me to see.
I have tried to contact Facebook but only get an automated response saying that because my account is now linked to an email address which is not mine they cannot be sure that its really me who is trying to access my own account :(
I just want my account back so I can close it down and have done with it :(

There won't be one if it was a bluescreen, could be a memory dump from the crash but only essexboy (who made the aswMBR tool) would be interested in it.

It's not particularly meant to cause the computer to crash, and the only times I've personally seen it happen was when there was something hiding there - but in those cases there were plenty of things found in Malwarebytes as well.

You could try running it again, and still can post the hijackthislog from post 3 to see if anything shows up, but Rik is right that the only other commonality in all this is your facebook account itself.

I definitely agree that the computer needs checking out in case there is a keylogger on it (or any other dodgy software)

    id recommend combofix
    Please run COMBOFIX
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
    Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
(If no log comes up or you lose it, COMBOFIX.TXT can be found in C drive)

  • Ive just done the avast test again and nothing found, also done the kaspersky one and it also found nothing, already posted th results from superantispyware and malwarebytes.
Thanks for all of your help, I think I can rest assured that my computer is clean :)
