Thought I would have a little look at a butchers prices stated online, blimey that is much more than I paid last time at the farm shop.
Shame I am so far from that shop you posted Ted, looks good. Not bad prices either. Think the last time my Dad got a full lamb was about £70.
Shop around, you might not find the prices are so high everywhere. I will check the prices when I collect my meat next week at the shop I use.One day I might be more organised...........

AVAILABILITY is usually the key factor. You know: supply and demand. I wonder if there might not be just a teensy little bit of artificial restriction on the supply side here...0 -
Lamb price has been falling for the laste few weeks.
Thinks its bad now, wait til next year. They reckon on a 30% increase in animal feeds. Most people overlook opportunity as it comes dressed in overalls, and looks like hard work.0 -
What about Bacon, thats risen an awful lot in the last few months hasn't it?Most people overlook opportunity as it comes dressed in overalls, and looks like hard work.0

Bacon and other pork items have gone up a lot, we used to end up with a lot of pork as it was always cheap, but it isn't any more. With an expected 30% increase on animal feeds that is going to increase it hugely if that happens. I also hope it doesn't mean that farmers will feed lesser quality to the animals to save money. One day I might be more organised...........
